We’re delighted to welcome Luis Camara to PFH as our new Independent Living Services Manager! 👋

Luis joins us in a newly created role that will drive forward our Independent Living agenda, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support that helps them live independently, confidently and safely in their homes.

Since joining PFH, Luis is already finding the role exciting and full of potential and shared that it “already feels like I’ve joined one big family.” 💜

Outside of work, Luis has a love for cooking, classic cars and commercial airplanes and if he ever wins the lottery, you’ll find him travelling the world attending every Formula 1 Grand Prix! 😅

It’s been a great couple of weeks across Pickering and Ferens Homes!

Residents have been busy enjoying music from the Sunshine Strummers and getting into the spooky spirit at Christopher Pickering Lodge. We have also been keeping active with our regular chair-based exercise to music! 🎶

There have been plenty of smiles and community spirit all round! ⭐

In honour of yesterday, we supported the ⁠Age UK Shoe Box Appeal by collecting donations for their Christmas hampers! 🎁

Our HR team spent the afternoon wrapping shoe boxes and packing them with everyone’s generous contributions 👏

Many older people across Hull and East Yorkshire will face loneliness or vulnerability this Christmas and every donation helps bring a smile to someone’s face.

Well done to everyone who helped spread kindness and joy this festive season ❤️
