A Lovely Day Out to Burton Constable

Residents from Magnolia House and Maple Court recently enjoyed a beautiful day out at the stunning Burton Constable. We had a wonderful time exploring the picturesque grounds, soaking up the sunshine, and sharing smiles and stories along the way.

A highlight of the visit was the charming exhibition of old toys, which sparked many fond memories and happy conversations among our residents. It was a delightful trip filled with nostalgia, laughter, and lovely company — a day to remember!

Golden Wishes: A Purr-fect Day Out for Audrey

As part of our Golden Wishes campaign, Audrey from Magnolia House shared with our Wellbeing Coordinator, Amy, just how much she missed having cats in her life, having always kept them over the years.

Amy knew just the place to bring a smile to Audrey’s face — a specialist cat café in York, where guests can enjoy a warm drink and a slice of cake in the company of cats of all breeds and sizes.

The visit was a huge success. You could see from the beaming smile on Audrey’s face that she was truly in her element, completely relaxed and surrounded by furry friends.

After the café visit, we took the opportunity to wander through the beautiful streets of York, soaking up the sights and enjoying a little retail therapy along the way.

“It was so lovely to share such a special day with Audrey,” said Amy. “Seeing her so happy made it unforgettable.”

We had a lovely morning at Magnolia House baking fruit and cherry scones and some delicious lemon meringue cheesecakes 🍒🍋

In the afternoon, we enjoyed them as part of our afternoon tea, accompanied by the beautiful vocals of the lovely Laura – what a treat! 🎶💛

Tonight, we enjoyed a Night at the Races — the bets were placed, the excitement was high, and the real prizes were laughter, good times, and wonderful memories shared by all.
