The next DAN meeting announcement.

We're excited to announce that the next edition of the Audience with… series will see Dan interview Jason Wilsher-Mills!

** The interview will be pre-recorded due to Jason’s very busy schedule. **
A brief introduction to the man with a CV which is so long that it cannot be described in a few words.

He is someone who takes his own experiences, his working-class roots, and a healthy dose of pop culture, and spins them into something utterly unique, something that grabs you by the eyes and pulls you into a conversation you won't soon forget.

He wants you to imagine a world where disability isn't a barrier, but a vibrant, technicolor starting point. Disability Arts Network D.A.N

We're hosting our second artists gathering! After the success of our Meet the Team event in November, we're inviting artists and creatives in the region back for another meet up and networking evening.

And this time we're headed to Hull Truck Theatre! Held in the Godber Studio on Wednesday 23rd April, 5:30pm to 7:30pm, the first hour will be dedicated to training on artists advocating for Access and Riders, delivered by Elephant In The Room Disability Services and Disability Arts Network (DAN), with the following hour giving everyone an opportunity to network. As their Level 1 Allies, we'll also have an introduction to our new access partners, Unlimited. Find out more about them here: https://weareunlimited.org.uk/opportunities/allies/

If you're interested in attending, get in touch with our Producer ian@freedomfestival.co.uk before Wednesday 16th April, confirming if you're attending one or both sessions. Please note the training session has a limited capacity of 40. The meeting will be BSL interpreted, and if you need information on venue access, please visit https://www.hulltruck.co.uk/access/
