Welcome to BA Wellbeing & Sports Massage 🥰 Welcome to BA Wellbeing - Centred around you! Beki also gained a reputation for being understanding to life pressures.
BA Wellbeing was born out of passion of helping people feel better about themselves. We are committed to helping people make lifelong changes that can improve their life for good. Beki Amanda discovered her passion for helping people back in 2012, when she trained as a Personal Fitness Trainer and founded the company BA Personal Training. Here she developed a great interest in the workings of the
body and mind. Developing her own techniques to help people with pain and muscle imbalance, through stretch and exercise she was able to help a number of clients to solve problems that they thought were lifelong problems. Beki later trained in Sports Massage so she could help her clients further. But it didn’t stop there. The more clients Beki saw over the years, the more she found her self listening, and suggesting other avenues of help. There really is more to physical fitness than diet and exercise, for many, mental health problems get in the way. So what more could she do? Life these days is full of anxiety, stress, and increasing pressures everywhere. These factors can vastly impede on weight management. Not to mention injuries (including historical) that cause problems physically and mentally as well. The BA Wellbeing centre launched in February 2020, and despite the challenges that were about to face us, we held strong. But sadly in the end we had to let go. But you can still book for sports massage today! Beki Amanda – Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer

20 miles in 20+ days! COMPLETE!
***Sort of. ***
A day out with my mum and my daughter yesterday saw us walking 6 miles. Which completes my distance. Okay so I didn't run it, but that's ok - because I still exercised. I pushed myself much further this month than I have in a long time.
I had a realisation today that last time I completed a challenge like this was when I had a breakdown and was off work poorly. All I had to do was keep going, remember to eat, rest and if I could.. run.
This time though, I'm working, I'm volunteering, I'm a full time mum, I'm trying to clean the house, I'm still trying to remember to eat, I'm trying to control my anxiety and triggers, I'm chronically exhausted, but still I managed to go 20 miles this month.
Thankyou to my sponsors as you kept me going.
All pennies went to TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire - if you still want to help, please help this amazing charity with their summer fair coming up. Still needing donations for the tombola / raffle.
These ladies are helping to support many families living with tourettes and/or adhd, giving them support where noone else is listening.
If you need help - reach out. You will never meet a nicer more understanding team

20 miles in 20 days.
So it seems I misaligned my challenge as today is the last day of TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire awareness month. So today is the last day I am raising money for the group fundraising competition.
So I thought I had another 2 days to finish the last 7 miles!
Today I am.left with anxiety aroubd not finishing, but realistically, I can't run 7 miles in 1 day at the moment, between fitness and energy levels.
Anyone with a hidden disability will know that every day is different, and doing exercise can be a hard start for the best of people. Pile ADHD and C-PTSD on top of that and going out is a complicated problem.
I was out on Potteric Carr nature reserve yesterday on a training course with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust . We did do some walking but I still have 6 miles to go.
So I have decided to save my brain overloading today, I will aim to run 3 miles tonight, and 3 miles tomorrow. But I still have the reserve of Monday as my day 20 if I need it.
This has been difficult for me, but it's gotten me moving. And I have raised £40 for TIC. Which is being added to the group total. If you would still like to donate, today would be ideal for our group challenge, but any donations after that will still go to TIC for their ongoing works x
Thankyou for following my journey. I shall update you to the end. 💖💖

20 miles in 20 days to raise money for TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire
Day 15 🥵🥵🥵 2.94 miles.. No photo today - just... because lol
I planned to go out last night and in typical ADHD fashion.. I forgot 🤣🤣 forced myself out today as my target is getting close. Felt hard at first, but there was improvement on my last run.
Total distance 13.24 miles ! Leaving me just under 7 miles to do between now and 16th June! I can do this!
But I can assure you... without the challenge, I would have run 13 miles the last few weeks!
Please donate if you can! We are raising money as a group, but personally for my running I have raised £40, I would love to push that to £100.

Day 10! Various reasons I've struggled to run every day, but some how I've covered enough distance to be on target. Today I pushed through a very difficult 2.59 miles. 10.35 in total!
Getting out was hard as my C-PTSD triggered today, and sadly on the run it triggered again badly.
Luckily a well timed message brought me back to now enough for me to turn around and head back home. And with the power of music, a song that keeps me going, I got home.
Never underestimate the power of a simple text. Don't be affraid to reach out to people, even if its just to say hi, it could be the thing that turns their day around.
If you haven't already -.please sponsor me in this challenge. TIC have supported me and my family, and helped us feel less alone. Running is part of my health journey, and raising money to help them out is the least I can do x
Day 7 - no running today, but I have been for an educational walk around Grassington grass wood. I spent the day with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at our volunteers conference. I think we walked approximately 2.6miles .. I can't quite tell as I accidentally left the tracker running as we drove out the area 🤣🤣.
I have included it in my total for bow, but I will try and run the distance if I can :)

Day 6 - the last 3 days I've had neither the time nor the energy to get out. Today I had the time but no energy. ADHD makes habits quite difficult to create. I litterally have to make a decision that I'm going to run today, and make it a priority, but without out this challenge - I wouldn't have gone out today. I constantly have too much to do. I know I am not alone in this, sometimes we have to make time, and I am determined to improve my own health and wellbeing. I mostly caught up in missed days, but not quite.
I've managed 5.16miles out of 20 so far and raised £40 for the amazing TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire - If you could donate anything at all, I would love to push my target of £100.
Let me know if you would like to donate - you can use just giving, that charges extra but pays direct to tic. Or I can give you my bank details :)
Meanwhile - check them out and see what amazing work they do for children and their families in Hull and across Yorkshire :)

Day 2 of 20 miles in 20 days!
I hurt from head to toe, I think my body is in shock from yesterday 🤣
And it's been a busy day too, and with lacking energy I took the option of a treadmill over going out on the road. Only managed 1.06 miles, but progress is progress!
So far I've done 2.57miles out of 20!

Day 1 - 20 miles in 20 days!
First proper run on a long time, so I expected to do worse. I didn't sleep well last night, 3 hours... head was racing so I got up at 6am and went out before I changed my mind! Surprised myself there haha. As I am sure you all know, starting a new fitness routine isn't easy.
I managed 1.51 miles, I was aiming for a mile. Only walked briefly, and only a slight ache in my hip! Good start! Bring on tomorrow.
You may have seen in an earlier post that I am doing this to raise money for a charity close to my heart - TIC.
If you are able to donate anything, it would mean a lot to me.
Thankyou for reading 🥰
TIC is a local charity close to my heart, they have provided support, advice, understanding and education to both Elise and I.
We attend weekly groups which offers me time with other parents dealing with the same issues and Elise time with other children who understand each other's problems. It's a safe space where she can let off steam and be herself.
Within my own struggles I have found maintaining my own health and fitness very difficult, losing strength and cardio fitness as well as putting weight on in recent years. As TIC have been part of my health journey in the last year, I would like to take this opportunity to help them whilst giving me a target to work on.
My aim is to run 20 miles in 20 days, which isn't much to some, but is much more than I have done in a long time.
I would love it if you could support me in my road to better health by giving what you can to this amazing charity, who continue to receive many referrals every week.
Please follow the link below to donate. And I will update my progress each day.

We don’t see it as just fitness, we look at Personal Training with a Holistic approach. We like to help people in any way we can, whether it’s dietary support, emotional support, flexibility/posture or other health problems that make it hard to train.
