The sun came out this morning…..what better way to start than with a walk to the amazing in Hessle.
This is such a brilliant bakery and if you haven’t tried any of the bakes just yet…then you should go. I went in for one and couldn’t resist another….and the coffee is superb…had 2 of these as well.

Have been playing with sourdough pizza for a while….and this is a hybrid.
My go to recipe from with 30% added ferment nicked from the bakery, I was really pleased with the outcome.
Mozzarella and tomato with added feta, rocket and honey and pepperoni with chillies, piquant peppers, drizzled with chilli out and hot

My daughter .fancies baking on Sunday doing one of her signature bakes….pretzel bites. We love these, with and some with cinnamon sugar, savoury and sweet option.

What is better than going to your local bakery on a Sunday morning and getting your baked goods fresh out of the oven at opening…..still warm.
was so busy this morning and I managed to grab my goodies and my morning was complete with a really sticky cinnamon bun…..they are so good!!

Short horn fore rib from my local butcher R & C Goodfellow Family Butcher in Hessle. Seared and then slow roasted, this is as good as it gets for a roast last Sunday after a few hours of baking with and a glass of red wine.

So on a snowy Sunday morning I got up early to do a bit of work with
Izzy has just opened her new bakery this week in Hessle and if you haven’t been yet, you really should go. Her products are really very very good.
Hessle has been crying out for a bakery and Izzy and her family deserve every success. It took me back to my roots being back in a bakery doing bakery stuff early in the morning. I think today is going to busy Izzy!!!

This week, I have never received a gift to take back from a bakery so unusual and innovative as this.
I left Carleton’s bakery in Ireland with a giant caramel shortbread with my name cut into it!!!
I am so happy to be working with these guys and this innovation in cake is something really special.
