For our final month of donating to local charities and volunteer groups, to celebrate our 130 years in buisness, we have decided to support our local primary schools by donating to each of thier Parents and Friend's Association. Each of them have received £130 to help them in the valuable work they do.

January's recipients of our 130 year donation were:

Downright Special - Downright Special is a charity supporting children with Down syndrome in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Ellie Mai Fund - Supports families who are looking after very poorly and terminally ill children

Both charities recieved a donation of £130 and we would like to wish them well in thier support of local families.

We have been advocating regulation for many years. This is important to ensure families only receive excellent care and are treated fairly. We urge everyone to please sign. Thank you

Many families trust funeral directors with the care of their loved owns without knowing they are largely unregulated. My aim is for the government to start the process of creating a regulatory body to ensure our deceased are treated with dignity and respect.

December's 130th Anniversary Donation recipients are:

Hull and East Yorkshire Powerchair Football Club - who aim to give disabled people of all ages & genders who use a wheelchair or a powerchair the opportunity to try powerchair football.

Raise The Roof Hull Homeless Project - who forges relationships with local food outlets and buisness to provide hot meals to anyone facing food poverty or homelessness in Hull

Both groups have recieved a donation of £130 and we wish them well in thier service to thier local communities.

November's 130th Anniversary Donation recipients are:

Cottingham Wild Spaces Group: A local group run by volunteers who focus on caring for and maintaining two green spaces, Millbeck and Dene Wood.

Cottingham Lights : This is a group of like minded shop owners, staff and local residents who work tirelessly every year to bring the residents of Cottingham a fantastic display of Christmas lights.

Both groups have recieved a donation of £130 and we wish them well in thier service to Cottingham Community

The charities/groups we have selected for October's donation to mark our 130th anniversary are :
Men in Sheds (Hull) - who provide a place where like-minded people gather together to socialise, share skills and learn new ones in a friendly environment.

Life for a Kid Foundation - is a Hull based charity whose aim is helping children under the age of 16 by offering funds & equipment to help them lead a better life.

We would like to thank both these charities for the work they do to support others - Its a pleasure to be able to help them.

The charities nominated for September's 130 year donation are Kickstart Teenage Cancer Trust and Trinty Scout Group, who have both recieved donations of £130. To mark our 130th anniversary we plan to continue donating two local worthwhile causes each month until June 2024
