Today I filmed before and after of an instant release of the Psoas muscle.
This can become chronically tight through poor pelvis alignment and jobs that involve lots of sitting. If you can feel pain when putting socks on when sat down, this could be a Psoas issue.
In first video, the bad leg moves when the other leg is raised. If your psoas muscles are tight or dominant, they can over-recruit — so when one contracts to flex a hip, the other may co-contract to help stabilize or counterbalance, inadvertently lifting the opposite leg.
The second video is after I released this muscle, do you see how the leg doesn’t move?
If you’re in a job that requires a lot of sitting, try and get up at regular intervals to keep this muscle in the best condition 🤗
