The wait is over! I'm beyond excited to introduce my latest project - online classes hosted by Flo-to yoga & fitness, aka yours truly.
Not just that, I invite you to join our Mat Collective. A group of like-minded people, from strangers across oceans to friends, become part of a support network of movements lovers.
Classes will be hosted weekly, UK time and recorded so everyone can enjoy, despite being on different time zones.
The collective will be connected by a Whatsapp channel in which will drop Zoom links and relevant information. Not just a messenger, this channel will be a way of keeping us accountable. Whether it will be those celebrating fitness wins, or needing encouragement to get on the mat, let’s inspire each other to keep moving.
The Mat Collective is complete free and classes donations based.
As always, built around increasing our mobility, strength, stability and flexibility through creative & safe sequencing. Classes will be an hour, include meditative and pranayama practices and even curated playlists to help you find your flow state….where ever you choose to practice!
Yoga classes, work-outs, mobility play and breath work- with a mixture of offerings straight to your home, wellness just got easier.

London, it's nearly time to say goodbye once more.

Through grey skies and buildings high, I returned back 'home'. So familiar but daunting all the same.
For these 8 months, I've moulded and nourished a new version of me.

You learn when you travel, to be your own support system. Re-discovering what it takes to be present for others whilst protecting my own peace is something I've struggled with. How much to give, how much is right to take.
And to teach in this space.
To draw inspiration through cracks in the normality of a 9-5 (or 9-9.) To be front facing when my default of past lives was to hide.
I found what 'holding space' truly meant this year.

And so I continue. Now half way along a journey to being a full qualified personal trainer, I feel useful and hopeful in different ways. Striving to help people gain strength we all need as we age.
But, more about that later....

For now I enjoy the last few days, saying see you later to those who helped support me this year.
Truly a year of self discovery.

Hey all👋
It's been over 2 weeks now since leaving the safety of the Laguna and teaching regularly. I've been adjusting back into the backpacker mindset and its been a bit of a process.
I lost my yoga mat on a local bus and I've struggled with finding space to practice yoga consistently. Even on beaches, how ever beautiful, the sand just doesn't give me the grounding to move it the ways I usually love to. Spending lots of time on buses and carrying big backpacks, having a good old stretch is now more of a need than a want.
I'm incredibly grateful for the past year in Nicaragua, I found myself in my movements and had plenty of room and time to explore.
For now, I have excepted that my practice may look a little different over the next few months- and thats OK!
I have adapted, finding quiet corners in dorm rooms, using towels as mats and workouts using pieces of wood instead of weights. And whenever, wherever I find myself in a space where I have a private and suitable spot, I put on my music and return to my flow in its fullest expression! 🙏

For now, Im just enjoying this journey and incredibly lucky to. "Buy the ticket, take the ride"- HST

Time is slowly approaching for us to move on from our lovely, little lake community. One week today we will be taking the bus (again) to Costa Rica where we will fly to Cartagena, Colombia. Looking forward to moving on but damn, we will miss this beautiful Laguna and the family we were apart of here.

Jumping back in your Vinyasa or Sun Salutation can take courage but building confidence and strength to do so may not be as hard as you think💪

Consider the weight distribution in crow pose, bringing your head down as a counterweight to your lower body, sit bones to the sky and that gaze (Drishti) that keeps us focused. Even if you cannot yet hold a Crow, getting into position without lifting off the feet can teach us a lot about jump back.
Placing hands slighty forward, bending your legs to build power, lifting up the sit bones, pushing into the mat with all fingers and thumbs and engaging your scapular to work all the way through the kinetic chain.
Working with the breath, drop your head, think of lifting up and back.

It takes a little practice but once youre there, arm balances don't seem as scary or unattainable.
Slow the whole process down and you're on your way to pressing into handstands.
