Galsworthy House Nursing Home

Galsworthy House Nursing Home Galsworthy House, Kingston Upon Thames offers residential, nursing & dementia care. Once owned by Sir John Galsworthy, author of The Forsyte Saga.

A beautiful period property, with stunning views over Richmond Park, in Kingston Upon Thames. Sensitively restored and you'll find first-class facilities with exciting activities, and plenty of places to relax or entertain. On warmer days, our gardens are a lovely place to sit and chat to visitors or help with planting or watering flowers. Everyone enjoys a change of scene now and again, so residents love to browse in the local shops and have lunch in the cafes and cosy pubs as well as regular outings to Hampton Court Palace or into the bright lights of London. New residents can use our designated, safe admission suites and benefit from a personalised wellbeing plan during their initial 14 days. If you're a little unsure of what type of care is needed, we're happy to help with the details.

A heartfelt thank you to Paul!

This week, we’ve been celebrating our incredible chef Paul Georghiou, who is retiring after an amazing 14 years.

From creating delicious meals for our residents to bringing joy to our team, Paul has been a very important part of our family. His dedication, creativity, and kindness leave a lasting legacy.

We wish him every happiness in his well-deserved retirement – he will be very much missed!

Our homes don’t just welcome residents - they welcome families, friends, and loved ones with open arms.

We know how much it means to keep sharing life’s moments together. That’s why we invite families to join in wherever they can - from afternoon tea in the garden and lively activity sessions, to celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and those “just because” days.

It’s about laughter shared over a cup of tea, stories told across generations, and the joy of simply being together. In our homes, families remain families - not just visitors.

Because connection isn’t just important. It’s everything.

Celebrating World Photography Day at Aria Care.

Earlier this year, we launched a photography competition across our homes to capture the heartfelt moments of joy, love, and care that make our communities so special.

The winning photograph, taken at Albany Lodge, was chosen by our Media Producer, Marcus Gilbert. Today, Marcus visited the home to present the team with their prize – a brand-new Canon camera and a photography workshop – so they can continue to capture and share the many special moments that happen at Albany Lodge every day.

Home Manager Sarah shared:

"We’re so excited to have won the grand prize. This camera will help us showcase even more of the heartfelt moments in our home, and we’re grateful to Aria for giving us this opportunity. Our photos will now look more beautiful than ever when we share them with our community."

We can’t wait to see the wonderful memories Albany Lodge captures next! 🌟

(Other photos show Oluchi, Activities Lead, already putting the new camera to good use!)

As care needs change, knowing the right support is in place can bring real peace of mind.

Residential care offers help with everyday living; things like preparing meals, personal care, and companionship. It’s about creating a safe, supportive home where people can feel comfortable and connected.

Nursing care provides all of this, with the added reassurance of round the clock medical support from qualified nurses. It’s there for those who need a little more support, whether due to complex health conditions or changing needs.

At Aria Care, we offer both, so your loved one’s care can evolve as their needs do. No upheaval, just continuity, compassion, and the right level of support at every stage.

Every dementia journey is deeply personal.

Behind every dementia diagnosis – whether it's Alzheimer’s, vascular dementia, or less common types like Lewy bodies, or frontotemporal dementia – is a unique individual with a lifetime of memories, relationships, and experiences.

At Aria Care, we don’t just see the condition, we see the person. We take the time to listen to each resident’s story, understand their needs, and provide care that’s built on empathy, calm, and dignity. We care from the heart.

Through structured routines and memory-enhancing environments, we help bring moments of connection, comfort, and joy to those living with dementia, and to the families who love them.

Everyone’s story matters to us, and we believe every person deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe.
