Great results for Lexie, who recently graduated from her helmet! 🥳

When Lexie’s parents noticed a sudden flat spot on her head at just 3 weeks old, they were told to “wait and see.” But by 7 months, with little improvement and growing concern, they took matters into their own hands.

After NHS options were exhausted, they turned to LOC and our LOCband Lite helmet therapy, a non-invasive solution for plagiocephaly. With consistent wear and ongoing support, Lexie’s cranial asymmetry reduced from 24mm to just 8mm 🙌

If you’re concerned about your baby’s head shape, don’t wait. Book a free consultation or complete our free diagnosis form. We're here to help.

Congratulations to baby Autumn on graduating from her helmet this month! 🥳

It was a double celebration as Autumn was also the 250th LOCband Lite baby to be treated in our clinic!

She and her mum Stephanie were happy to take part in the celebrations... especially as it was only a few days before her 1st birthday!

Autumn was treated by orthotist George Coles, and after 5 months of treatment, her final head scan showed her asymmetry had decreased from 12mm to 3mm.

Identical twins Ella and Nina were both diagnosed with at seven months old.

Craniosynostosis is the premature fusing of the bones in the skull before the baby’s brain is fully formed. It normally requires surgery and can restrict the brain's growth, affecting its development.

Despite initial reassurances from healthcare professionals, their irregular head shapes remained a cause for concern.
It wasn't until an assessment with LOC clinician Saeed Hamid that Craniosynostosis was mentioned. They were both diagnosed with and admitted for urgent surgery and specialist care at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children's Charity hospital.

The twins returned to LOC for post-operative cranial remoulding therapy (similar to our helmet therapy treatment for positional ).

Their story, from diagnosis to treatment, highlights the importance of early intervention in managing this condition. Many thanks to Mum Natalie for sharing her experience.
