Welcome to one of our new consultants - Mr Wei, who is a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in knee surgery.
His practice encompasses all aspects of knee surgery, including sports knee injuries (meniscal tears and ligament ruptures), knee joint preservation (including cartilage regeneration), partial knee replacement, total knee replacement and patella stabilisation procedures.

On International Day of the Midwife we would like to thank our midwifery team for the fantastic work they do and the wonderful care they give to all those who choose Kingston Private Health for their maternity care.

Kingston Private Health offers private counselling sessions with Christiane Montenegro. Christiane is an Integrative Counsellor supporting cancer patients, their family members and carers.
As part of Nutrition and Hydration Week, our nurse Agnieszka has created an information board for patients and staff to remind them of the importance of good hydration and nutrition in hospital particularly when recovering from illness or surgery.
We also have a bowl of fresh fruit and fruit juice available for relatives and visitors in reception and are offering fresh fruit to patients as an alternative to biscuits.

Having weight loss surgery at Kingston Private Health appealed to Tracey because "I was advised that there was a possibility of needing intensive care immediately after it. Because of its location within Kingston Hospital, the private patient unit has immediate access to intensive care."
She said that "every member of the staff team, from the Porter to the Anaesthetist to the Matron were so lovely, attentive and kind. There was a real sense of calm within the ward."

We are often asked whether we provide treatment to those without private medical insurance. We are very happy to treat patients who prefer to fund their treatment themselves. We aim to make the process for you as simple and transparent as possible by offering fully inclusive tailored self-pay packages where possible.
Rupert Wharton is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in Hand and Wrist. He has an interest in sports injuries, fractures and degenerative conditions, and works closely with hand therapy colleagues to ensure all non operative solutions have been tried before considering surgery.
