ACCORDION WRINKLES

These are facial creases that typically appear around the mouth and cheeks. They can become more apparent with repetitive facial expressions, especially when the skin loses elasticity over time.

They may appear as fine lines or deeper folds, depending on factors such as age, skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle.

Treatment can involve a combination approach of medical grade skincare, devices such as microneedling and cosmetic injectables.

For this patient we chose to start with a course of Restylane Skinboosters which involves 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Followed by a maintenance treatment at 6 months.

This amazing result is 4 WEEKS AFTER TWO TREATMENTS. I can’t wait to see the improvement after completion of the whole course.

LIP REJUVENATION TREATMENT ✨

This gorgeous patient came to me wanting overall volume and a reduction in the appearance of the vertical lip lines above the upper lip.

We used 1ml of dermal filler to shape, define and hydrate these lips to achieve this beautifully balanced result.

NOSE TO MOUTH LINES

The nasolabial folds are the deep creases running from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. These are often referred to as nose to mouth lines.

These creases become more noticeable as part of the natural ageing process. With increasing age, fat is lost from the cheeks which causes volume loss in the mid face area making this fold appear deeper. The fat pad just above this line gets heavier with age making the line even more pronounced.

I always assess cheek volume before treating the nasolabial lines because often restoring volume in the cheeks in combination with the nasolabial folds results in a better overall appearance.

However, some people have good cheek volume and benefit from direct injection of filler into the nasolabial crease alone, as demonstrated in the before and after image.

The after photo was taken immediately following treatment, hence redness and swelling is present. Once this has resolved the result will be a natural softening of these lines.

PERI ORBITAL REJUVENATION ✨

Love how this simple and effective treatment can have such an impact on the whole eye area.

My patient presented to me with lines around her eyes and wanted to soften the appearance of these when smiling.

We treated the area with Botulinum Toxin to relax the muscle activity but keeping in mind the importance of retaining some movement to allow smiling with the eyes ☺️

At the two week follow up appointment I loved highlighting all the other ‘bonus’ improvements achieved.

Note how the eyes appear more open and rejuvenated after treatment.
The outer parts of the eyebrows are lifted and my favourite part to demonstrate with before and after photos is how the skin of the upper eyelids doesn’t collapse or become heavy on smiling.

This treatment will prevent these smile lines from becoming more deep set as changes in the skin occur with increasing age.
