We celebrated Halloween this year with a spooktacular afternoon tea party 🕸️🕷️

We had music, a costume competition with our amazing staff modeling their creative outfits, wonderful treats and snacks and a Halloween bingo to finish the afternoon off🎃🎶

Our residents absolutely loved the festivities, especially getting their photos taken with each costumed character. The smiles, laughter and stories shared made it a truly magical day! ❤️

It was wonderful to see everyone join in with the fun and bring a bit of Halloween magic to the home 🪄 🕷️

✨ Calling all kind and compassionate hairdressers✨

Hello everyone,

Brook House is currently looking for a hairdresser who would be happy to take on one lovely resident at our care home, for a weekly appointment.

This is a special opportunity to not only provide a cut, blow dry and set when needed, but also to bring comfort, care and a little pampering that truly brightens someone's day. ❤️

🎾 Sports Day Fundraising Event 🎾
What a day! Brook House came alive with laughter and cheer at our Sports Day Fundraiser, raising donations for the charity Maurie Curie 🌼
From sack races and egg and Spoon challenges to tasty food and live entertainment, and a rallying raffle - the smiles said it all!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined, supported and made the day so special. Together we made memories and raised funds for a great cause! ❤️

🌷 ARIA IN BLOOM 🌷

We are pleased to be a part of Aria in Bloom, a competition organized by .
This month we were tasked with elevating our outdoor space into a blooming brilliance with the use of vibrant, eye-catching new flowers and plants for residents to enjoy when spending time in their gardens.
Thank you to all the helping hands that transformed our garden space into something quite special. Especially our lovely Residents who helped plants and decide where they would like their flowers🌷
Robert our Maintenance Manager and Peter our Home Manager have been busy preparing the garden grounds to be transformed with the help of a few of our Residents.

🇬🇧 VE - Day 🇬🇧

The 8th of May, marks the 80th anniversary of VE day, the end of conflict in Europe!
Today we reflected on the courage, resilience and unity of those that shaped our country.
Our residents have been busy decorating and putting together their handmade decorations for this special day!
We enjoyed a tea party this morning whilst listening to some classic wartime music, some also reminiscenced and shared their experiences on this day, eighty years ago.

The memory of victory will live on in every heart that has longed for peace ✨

🐑 Deen City Farm 🐑

This month one of our trips was to Deen City Farm!
On this trip was Cherry, accompanied by her husband Jim, Joan and Anthony who were accompanied by Natasha and Emily. We started the trip by walking around to see all the different animals, there were Chickens, Ducks, Small birds, Ferrets, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Horses, Cows, Sheep, Goats, Pigs and a Donkey. We were offered to hand feed the goats which was a great experience and a lot of fun! 😁 Afterwards we checked out the cafe for some cake and tea. Before we left we enjoyed watching the children during their horse riding lessons before heading back.
