Wondering how nutritional therapy can help you?

If you’ve been struggling with symptoms like Anna’s - feeling tired, achy, foggy, bloated, anxious or not quite yourself - or maybe you’ve been told everything looks “normal” and it’s “just” ageing or menopause - then I can help.

I work with women who are juggling busy lives, hormonal changes and unexplained symptoms, to get to the root cause of what’s going on.

🔍 We start with a deep-dive consultation

🧬 I assess your symptoms, history, nutrition and lifestyle

💉 I might recommend some testing to get a clearer picture

🥦 Then I create a personalised plan - based on what’s realistic for you and your lifestyle

⏰ We have regular sessions so that you feel supported while making the changes.

Whether it’s gut issues, perimenopausal changes, fatigue or mood swings, you CAN feel better.

You just need the right support and a plan that looks at your WHOLE health picture.

4 things you might be doing that are accidentally making your midlife symptoms worse…

1️⃣ Skipping meals - especially breakfast

2️⃣ Having coffee before (or instead of) breakfast

3️⃣ Focusing on daily HIIT workouts or intense runs

4️⃣ Having too little sleep and ignoring the signs of stress

Chances are these are habits that you’ve carried over from your 20s and 30s - and felt fine on them.

But your midlife hormones need different support now.

You’ll be amazed how small tweaks to your daily habits can lead to big transformations.

Once you hit your 40s your hormones start to fluctuate and get themselves all out of balance.

The highs and lows can be unpredictable and can lead to those random symptoms that seem to appear from nowhere.

But did you know that what you’re eating might actually be making things worse?

Here are 3 diet mistakes that are making your hormone ups & downs worse and contributing to your energy crashes, mood swings & weight gain 👇

🥐 Highly processed carbs – They spike blood sugar and insulin, which can mess with cortisol & oestrogen.

☕ Too much caffeine – Can overstimulate your adrenals and disrupt sleep (even if you don’t feel it right away).

🍷 Alcohol – Your liver has to process it before anything else, so it can throw off oestrogen detoxification

✅ Instead swap the refined carbs for balanced meals with protein, fibre, healthy fats and nature’s carbs (I.e. veggies and fruits)

✅ Limit caffeine and have it after breakfast not instead of (but before 1pm)

✅ Limit or cut out alcohol altogether

⚠️If your sleep is disrupted, your energy is low, your anxiety is creeping up or your weight is harder to manage, your shifting hormones may be to blame.

WHAT’S YOUR GUT FEELING?

Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms which make up your gut microbiome. These tiny organisms play a crucial role in your overall health, impacting everything from your immune system to hormone balance.

However, modern diets, busy lifestyles and certain medications can disrupt this delicate balance, leading to imbalances that may trigger chronic inflammation and metabolic issues.

If you’re dealing with bloating, heartburn or embarrassing gurgles, it’s a sign your gut is struggling and could use some support.

Here are some (not all) possible causes:

🥺 STRESS: when you’re stressed your body is in ‘fight or flight’ mode and will focus on more important “life-saving” functions rather than digestion.

💻 MINDLESS EATING: eating on the go, in meetings, at your laptop or in front of the TV means that you’re not in ‘rest and digest’ mode and are likely not chewing your food properly either.

🐢 SLOW DIGESTION: if you’re not producing enough stomach acid or digestive enzymes then digestion can slow down, leading to fermentation and gas production.

⚖ HORMONAL CHANGES: fluctuating hormones can slow down the digestive process and cause water retention and bloating.

🍩 PROCESSED & SUGARY FOODS: excess intake of these can feed the harmful bacteria and disrupt the balance of your gut microbiome

💧DEHYDRATION: Not drinking enough water can lead to constipation and bloating.

If you're experiencing bloating along with other symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, hormonal imbalances, joint pain, skin issues or anxiety, it's essential to address your gut health.

Many of these symptoms can be improved with diet and lifestyle changes but you should also discuss your symptoms with your doctor to rule out anything more serious.

Are you tired of constantly battling the bloat?

Feeling like you're six months pregnant after every meal?

You're not alone. Many women experience this and it often gets worse once they reach their 40s - even if they are eating healthily.

And that’s the thing - bloating isn't just about what you eat; it's often a sign of something not quite right with your gut.

Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms - this is your gut microbiome and it influences nearly every aspect of your health, from your immune system to hormone balance.

So chances are it's not just bloating that you're dealing with. An imbalanced gut can also contribute to:

🥱Fatigue

😮Weight gain

🤯Hormonal imbalances

🙁Skin problems

😫Joint pain

😰Anxiety

🥺Insomnia

👉🏼Improving your gut health can bring benefits to your whole body. So if you're tired of that bloated feeling or of any of your other symptoms then it’s time to take control of your digestive health and get to the root cause.

And I can help you with that.

🎄It may be the “most wonderful time of the year” but let’s face it, the festive season is also hectic!

🤯The late nights, indulgent meals and the added stress of hosting, shopping and locating missing parcels can leave you feeling frazzled and your body depleted.

Enter MAGNESIUM: the relaxation mineral to keep you calm, energised and balanced this festive season 🧘‍♀️

HERE'S WHY 👇🏼

Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzyme reactions in your body. It helps with:

✅ Energy production ⚡
✅ Better sleep 😴
✅ Relaxed muscles 💪
✅ A calmer mood 🌿

Stress depletes magnesium, but you need magnesium to combat stress.
It's a vicious cycle—so what can you do?

Include plenty of MAGNESIUM-RICH FOODS in your diet:

🍞 Wholegrains
🥑 Avocado
🌰 Almonds & cashews
🌻 Seeds
🍫 Dark chocolate (minimum 70% cacao)
🍌 Bananas
🌱 Spinach & other leafy greens
🫘 Beans
🥘 Quinoa

If you’re really struggling you can consider a magnesium supplement but always speak to a health professional first as there are many different forms to choose from, depending on your individual needs.

✨ How to enjoy the festive season without the guilt or regret! ✨

🎄 The festive season doesn’t have to be ‘all or nothing’ when it comes to your health goals. It might not be the time to start a diet but equally you don’t need to live on mince pies and mulled wine for the next couple of weeks.

🤸‍♀️It’s about balance.

💡Here’s how to navigate the celebrations without going too far off the rails:

🎄Prioritise consistency over perfection
Stick to some basic healthy habits - like having regular meals, drinking plenty of water and getting a few early nights whenever you can. But allow yourself to enjoy some seasonal treats guilt-free in moderation.

🎄 Don’t ‘save up’ calories
Skipping meals to save your calories for later often backfires. It screws up your blood sugar balance and is more likely to result in extreme hunger followed by overeating.

🎄 Enjoy your treats mindfully
If you want a dessert, a mince pie or a festive cocktail then have one. But be sure to savour it slowly and enjoy every bite or sip. Then stop. Don’t have it just because it’s there.

🎄Keep moving
You’re probably busy right now but a brisk walk, a quick home workout or some yoga will keep you motivated to stay on track - and help with your energy levels.

🎄 Focus on joyful connections
Remember, the holidays are about more than food and drink. Be in the moment and enjoy this time with your loved ones.

🗝 The key is finding a balance that lets you enjoy the season without regret. One indulgent day won’t derail you - just get back on track the next day.
