One of my favorite quotes...and very relevant to CBT & REBT:-

'Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them' (Epictetus, 55-135 AD)

The therapy I practice…

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that looks at how we think about a situation and the effect this has on the way we act and also on how our actions can in turn affect our thoughts and feelings.
CBT is a collaborative approach to therapy: therapist and client work together to help to change the client’s unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs, or unhelpful behaviours, or a combination of both.
CBT has been shown to be an effective treatment for many conditions including, but not limited to: anxiety disorders – generalized anxiety, panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, trauma and OCD, stress, anger, mixed anxiety and depression and assertiveness.

A bit about me...

I am a psychotherapist practicing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Rational-Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT).
I have a Masters Degree (MSc) in Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and am a full member of the Association of Rational-Emotive Behaviour therapists (MAREBT).
In addition to private practice, I have experience working as a psychotherapist for the NHS (IAPT) and working as a therapist for The Priory providing CBT for people experiencing depression and anxiety disorders. I also have experience at a London-based drug and alcohol service, providing REBT for those involved with problematic drug and alcohol use and its associated problems. I also have experience at Mind providing REBT and CBT for a client population experiencing a broad range of problems.
