Tonight we are being treated to a performance by Michael Sheen in his production of "Our Town" at Rose Theatre, Kingston.

We are astounded by the wonderful service and community spirit of this fantastic theatre!

Yesterday, as we all came together to celebrate World Book Day, we thought what a great opportunity it was to host a Tea Party in the theme of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland. Thank you to all those involved with special thanks to Monika who really went the extra mile by creatively making a variety of sweet and savoury delights for everyone to enjoy

In celebration of World Book Day, we had some true characters in the home today! Coombe also launched it's very own Book Exchange, allowing staff to swap out on a variety of different books - where stories find new homes and readers discover new adventures! A huge thank you to Sonya for introducing this initiative and for sourcing the book cabinet which was kindly donated......this now stands proud of place in our staff rest area

Yesterday Residents visited The Chelsea Pensioners at Royal Hospital Chelsea and were treated to a guided tour of the grounds by the wonderful, Bill.

On their return they spoke about the day with a sense of pride and contentment having witnessed, first hand, the mission of the home and the centuries of care and dignity that have been offered to retired soldiers.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Emma from Crossroads Care Surrey to Coombe Hill Manor today. Crossroads Care Surrey is a charity committed to offering care and support services, information and advice to unpaid carers, their families and the individuals they care for. We look forward to actively supporting Crossroads Care Surrey in raising much needed funds to support their hard work throughout the Surrey region. Thank you Emma - not only for taking time out of your busy schedule but also for the impromptu game of table tennis (Pat always love a game!)

Yesterday we celebrated our Winter Championship 2026 in conjunction with Motiview - an immerse cycle experience which benefits from over 2,200 videos, allowing residents to enjoy some gentle seated exercise whilst exploring the world. In many cases, this also enables users to reminisce whilst clocking up the miles. Well done to Pat who managed to achieve 44.4km!!!
