They were kind enough to come in and support our monthly Dementia Cafe, which always runs on the last Wednesday of every month at 3.00pm. Coombe celebrated the 80th Anniversary of VJ Day on Friday.

This anniversary meant a lot to our residents and they spent the morning reminiscing about their memories from 80 years ago. Many watched services from across the country and joined in a 2 minute silence later on with the nation.

Our Chefs and Hospitality Team helped the residents with the celebrations by providing a wonderful BBQ which they enjoyed along with family memebers, friends and the team.

Our afternoon concluded with entertainment and Singing.

Our residents had a lovely time yesterday doing some flower arranging. Each resident made a wonderful posey and they would now like to do this on a monthly basis. It was great to have the room full with so many smiley faces. Thank you to Jo for supporting at the end of the activity in helping to take a group photo and help carry flower arrangements back to residents apartments

Last week Christine, for her birthday, wanted to go to McDonalds so we made it happen.
