Our colleague Tracey created some fabulous hand knitted gnomes and snowmen for our Christmas Grotto that will also go around our care home as decorations for our residents.

We're been featured in this year's National Care Forum Advent Calendar, celebrating different stories of care.

Our story of care included one of our oldest residents, Brenda, who turned 100 earlier this year! Brenda took solace in a simple life, through joy and satisfaction from helping others.

Today, we’re celebrating two inspiring stories! Brenda Griffin, one of Dudley’s oldest residents, recently marked her 100th birthday at New Bradley Hall Residential Home at Black Country Housing Group, where she’s known for her cheerful spirit. A former Boots employee, her milestone was celebrated with a card from the King and Queen and a special party with her lifelong friend. Meanwhile, Avante Care & Support Home Care continues to provide personalised in-home care across Kent and Bexley, supporting clients with tailored services to enhance their well-being and quality of life.

🎁Christmas has come early at New Bradley Hall!

🎅Father Christmas and two care elves visited our Christmas Grotto this week. We served minced pies, hot chocolate, mulled wine, chocolates, and there was a gift for all children that attended.

✨Our residents, colleagues and their families joined us in spreading some holiday cheer.

Earlier in November, the team at New Bradley Hall took part in a 12-hour hour bike ride for BBC Children in Need and raised £154!

Colleagues took turns cycling, ranging from 10 minutes to 1 hour - we're very grateful to all 19 team members who took part in raising funds for this important cause.

Yesterday we held our Harvest Festival and today we took the donations that we collected to the Black Country Foodbank in Kingswinford, where we met some of their wonderful volunteers.

We are gearing up for our Breast Cancer fundraising event on Monday 12th August, during which we will be holding a raffle and refreshments will be provided to our residents.

Staff have been encouraged to bring along their old bras so we can make a display to raise awareness of Breast Cancer 🩷.

☀️Join us at New Bradley Hall for our summer fayre on Saturday July 13th from 11am - 3pm.

🍦There will be something for everyone - from cake and sweets stalls, and ice cream van for those with a sweet tooth to other stalls for crafts and books, a bouncy castle, a tombola and more.

As part of Black Country Housing Group (BCHG), we have proactively demonstrated the Group's values and especially the 'We care' one through our several fundraising activities.

In May we hosted a bingo and chips night where our residents and their families joined us and raised £110 for Alzheimer's. Thank you to everyone that came along and donated!

The act of giving not only benefits those in need but also has a profound impact on our mental health. Numerous studies have shown that acts of kindness and generosity can boost happiness, reduce stress, and increase overall wellbeing.

Some staff kindly volunteered their time to tidy up the front garden and entrance at New Bradley Hall, and did a great job!
