When you find out you are pregnant, you can refer yourself for NHS pregnancy care so you start care with a midwife right away.

Once you sign up online, the maternity team will contact you to book your first appointment with a midwife.

You should do this by the 10th week of pregnancy, if possible, but it’s never too late to start. If you're over 10 weeks, refer yourself as soon as you can.

What is Triple P?

Triple P is a parenting programme, but it doesn't tell you how to be a parent. It's more like a toolbox of ideas. You and your family choose the ideas you need. You decide the way you want to use them. It's all about making Triple P work for you.

There are so many different types of Triple P and ways to do it. From popping into your local family hub for a quick tip sheet on toilet training, to a two-hour sleep workshop, seminar, online or longer face to face groups.

We say parents-but what that means is parents, carers & supportive friends/relatives/professionals-it takes a village to raise a child.

DEAL – Dudley Energy Advice Line and Winter Warmth Service provides a one stop energy advice hub available to all residents of the borough to support with:

Billing issues

Offering debt and budgeting advice

Funding for energy saving measures – boilers, insulation etc

Providing crisis measures – fuel vouchers, heated throws, temporary heating

Advising on the causes of condensation and how to reduce

Providing energy efficiency tips on a room-by-room basis

Advice on usage costs of appliances

Checking in receipt of government support payments and assist with applying if required

Last year we supported over 5,000 households.

One of our priorities for this winter will be to support those pensioners who have just missed out on the winter fuel payment.
