Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest Senior Carer, Kadijat! 🎉

She previously lived in London before making the move to Bristol and says she absolutely loves living here. With three years of previous experience in care, she brings valuable knowledge, compassion, and dedication to our team.

She is passionate about developing her career and hopes to complete her NVQ Level 5, with the goal of progressing to a Care Coordinator role and eventually into management. We’re excited to support her on that journey and are thrilled to have her as part of our team.

She has already been out in the community meeting some of our lovely clients and can not wait to meet the rest.

Welcome to the team – we’re so happy to have you with us! 💖

🎉 Happy 103rd Birthday, Muriel! 🎂💐

Today we are celebrating an incredible milestone for someone very special to us – the wonderful Muriel, who turns 103 years young! Everyone at Caring Comes 1st would like to wish her the happiest of birthdays. Your warmth, wisdom and lovely smile brighten the days of those around you, Muriel. We hope your day is filled with joy, flowers and plenty of love. 🌼

Muriel was born in 1923, and the UK looked very different then! Here are a few fascinating things happening the year she was born:

✨ The BBC began expanding national radio broadcasting, bringing news and entertainment into homes across Britain.
✨ The famous “White Horse Final” FA Cup was played at the newly opened Wembley Stadium, one of the most famous matches in English football history.
✨ Traffic lights were introduced at Piccadilly Circus in London, helping manage the growing number of cars in the city.
✨ Britain was in the exciting early days of radio, with families gathering around wireless sets to listen to music, news and stories together.

Over a century of memories, history and experiences – what an amazing life journey! We feel incredibly lucky to celebrate this special milestone with you.

Please join us in wishing Muriel a very happy 103rd birthday! 🥳🎈

Intergenerational connections play an important role in healthy ageing.

And while many older adults have strong friendships with their peers, building relationships with younger generations can really help to reduce loneliness, improve support networks and bring a renewed sense of purpose!

Spending time with different age groups through things like community activities, volunteering, or shared interests can support mental, social and physical wellbeing.

You can learn more about this here: https://heyor.ca/KBVl37
