Hi everyone 💛
I hope it’s okay to share this here. I’m local to the area and run a small charity in central Bristol supporting mental health and su***de prevention. I wanted to raise awareness because I know life can feel really tough sometimes, and especially after the recent tragic incident in our community, my heart goes out to everyone affected.
Our service is completely free, non-judgemental, and face-to-face, so you don’t need to wait for an appointment or make a phone call if that feels difficult.
We offer support in two ways:
On-foot patrols in small teams around Bristol city centre, including the shopping area and harbourside, ready to listen then and there to anyone who might need it.
A stationary Listening Hub, a calm, welcoming space, designed to be non-clinical, with a home from home feel, where you can just walk in or book a free appointment online.
You don’t need to be in crisis or feeling suicidal to reach out. Even if you’re just feeling a bit low or overwhelmed, you’re welcome. Our trained volunteers will listen, offer support, and help you access any additional help you might need, all in a safe, friendly environment.
Please feel free to share this with anyone who might benefit. You are not alone, and support is available 💛
Caring for a loved one can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be exhausting without the right support in place.
A recent story highlights how long-term carers often need something as simple as a day off to rest and reset, knowing their loved one is safe and well cared for. Click here to read the story: https://heyor.ca/OGUi7a
