Yesterday morning at Kington Court, we joined in celebrating the National Day of Arts in Care Homes with a creative workshop inspired by nature and the beauty of autumn. Residents enjoyed exploring their artistic skills, reflecting on the changing seasons, and getting hands-on with creative expression – all while promoting wellbeing and dexterity. 🌿✨

A special highlight was hearing our lovely resident Barbara share her memories of teaching art in her younger years – a wonderful reminder of how creativity stays with us throughout life. 💙

🌟 Employee of the Quarter! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Arun, one of our dedicated Carers, who was proudly presented with his Employee of the Quarter Certificate and a well-deserved Amazon voucher 🎉.

Not only does Arun show incredible commitment during his Carer shifts – always smiling, chatting, and supporting our residents – but he also goes above and beyond by regularly picking up Domestic shifts too. His positivity and dedication truly shine through every day. 💙

The presentation was made even more special by our much-loved resident Dennis, who delighted in handing Arun his certificate (with his usual twinkle in his eye ✨).

This week, our lovely resident Barbara celebrated her 90th birthday in style with friends💐

Residents joined her for a delightful cream tea, complete with tea, cake, and cream & jam scones – the perfect treat for such a special milestone. 🍰✨

Barbara was all smiles as she enjoyed the company of fellow residents, and she’s looking forward to a wonderful family gathering on Sunday, with relatives travelling from far and wide to celebrate her big day. 💛

Our regular Bingo afternoon is always a highlight of the Kington Court social calendar – and this week was no exception! The lounge was packed, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the competition was on. 🙌

Our lovely resident Jean had the most wonderful surprise on her 93rd birthday when her daughter Fiona and son Nigel came to celebrate with her. 🥰

The family spent precious quality time together over cups of tea, delicious homemade cake (freshly baked by our talented chefs), and plenty of biscuits. ☕🍰

We were delighted to welcome back our regular visitor, singer and guitarist Mansel, who entertained us all with songs from both the past and present.

The atmosphere was wonderful – residents clapped, sang along, and truly enjoyed every moment. 💃🕺
