A follow on from the SCAPULA post. Your shoulder blades can get a good wiggle on.
It can be helpful to think of the body as a chain of events.
Everything is connected & so tightness in the lower back or side bending muscles impacts how the jolly ol' scapula will move.
For example if the serratus anterior (see last slide for a visual) is habitually engaged & tight it can mean the scapula is protracting with upwards rotation, making elevation (straight up movement of blades) difficult & likely cause pain over time.
There's a lot more going on in these movements than I've outlined here, this post is simply a starting point to guide.
