Welcome to JB Family Finders genealogy research website. My name is Jean-Marc Bazzoni and for many years (since the late 1970s) I have been researching my family history. I recently retired as a detective sergeant after serving 31 years with both the Metropolitan Police and Essex Police and am now embarking on my real passion - family history research. My years as a police officer has given me the
investigative skills to really delve down and search historical records so that no stone is left unturned in searching for those ‘sometimes’ elusive ancestors.
I am currently the editor of the journal for the Guild of One-Name Studies organisation, a student member of the Registered Qualified Genealogists (RQG) organisation and I am also studying for a Masters degree in Family and Local History with the University of Dundee. I have just completed the final assessment for the post graduate certificate and am now studying for the diploma. Once completed I will apply for full membership of the RQG (July 2018). I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and abide by their code of ethics. I am also in the process of applying for ‘Associate membership’ of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA) (interview this September) with a view to becoming a full member once I have attained the required membership criteria.
