🌿 Baihui (GV20) – The “Hundred Meetings” Point 🌿

Did you know there’s a powerful acupuncture point right at the top of your head? It’s called Baihui, and in Traditional Chinese Medicine it’s believed to be where multiple energy pathways meet.

✨ Benefits may include:
• Clearer thinking & better focus
• Stress and anxiety relief
• Improved sleep
• Headache support

📍 How to find it:
Place your fingers at the tops of your ears and trace upward—where they meet at the center of your head is Baihui.

💆‍♂️ Try gently massaging /tapping this spot for 1–2 minutes to help relax your mind and reset your energy.

Zusanli (ST36)

Zusanli (足三里), is one of the most important and commonly used acupuncture points in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

📍 Location
a simple way to find it:

1. Place your hand just below your kneecap
2. Measure four fingers downward
3. Move slightly outward from the shinbone — you’ll feel a tender spot

⚡ Main Functions & Benefits

Zusanli is known as a powerful tonifying point (it strengthens the body):
• Boosts energy (Qi) and overall vitality
• Supports digestive health (bloating, indigestion, nausea)
• Strengthens the immune system
• Helps with fatigue and weakness
• Can support mental clarity and stress reduction

🧠 In TCM Theory
• Belongs to the Stomach meridian
• Strengthens the Spleen and Stomach, which are central to producing Qi and Blood
• Often used to build long-term resilience and endurance

👉 Self-Massage (Acupressure)

You can stimulate it yourself:
• Use your thumb or knuckle
• Apply firm pressure
• Massage in circles for 1–2 minutes on each leg
• You should feel a dull, slightly achy sensation (this is normal)

⚠️ Safety Notes
• Generally safe for self-massage
• Avoid strong stimulation if you have injury or inflammation in the area
• For acupuncture (needles), always see a qualified practitioner

Tip

For daily wellness, the best time is between 7:00–9:00 AM, when the stomach meridian is most active.

🌿 San Yin Jiao (三阴交) — a powerful acupressure point you can use every day!

📍 Located 4 finger-widths above your inner ankle, just behind the shin bone.

✨ Known as the “meeting point of the 3 Yin meridians” (Spleen, Liver & Kidney), it supports the whole body:

💖 Women’s health (period pain, PMS, hormonal balance, menopause support)
😴 Better sleep & relaxation
🍃 Digestion support (bloating, weak appetite, sluggish metabolism)
💧 Reduces water retention & supports circulation
⚖️ Helps balance hormones & regulate the endocrine system
🩸 Nourishes blood & improves overall energy
🧘 Eases stress, anxiety & emotional tension
🦵 Relieves leg fatigue, soreness & heaviness
🔥 Can help with cold hands & feet (improves circulation)
🚻 Supports urinary and reproductive health

👉 How to use:
Press firmly with your thumb for 1–3 minutes on each leg. A slight ache or tenderness is normal.

🔁 Practice daily for best results!

⚠️ Important caution
• Avoid during pregnancy (can stimulate uterine activity)
• If you have a medical condition, check with a professional first

Small daily habits can make a big difference

What are ear seeds?

Ear seeds are a gentle form of auricular acupressure based on traditional Chinese medicine. Small seeds are placed on specific points of the ear to provide subtle, ongoing stimulation throughout the day.

You can gently press them for extra support whenever needed, and they typically stay on for 3–4 days.

At my clinic, I often use ear seeds as a complimentary treatment alongside acupuncture to help extend the benefits between sessions and support ongoing regulation.

Discover the Benefits of Cupping Therapy ✨

Cupping therapy, a technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been used for centuries to support healing and restore balance in the body.

At R&Y Acupuncture clinic, cupping is often combined with acupuncture to enhance results and promote deeper recovery.

💆‍♀️ How Cupping Can Help:

✔ Relieves back, neck, and shoulder pain
✔ Reduces muscle tension and stiffness
✔ Improves circulation
✔ Supports faster recovery from workouts
✔ Helps reduce stress and promote relaxation
✔ May ease headaches and migraines

The gentle suction increases blood flow to targeted areas, helping to release tight muscles, move stagnation, and encourage the body’s natural healing response.

You may notice circular marks after treatment — these are not bruises, but signs of improved circulation that typically fade within a few days.

🌿 Safe. Natural. Effective.
