A busy few days at St John’s House Care Home! 🌟

We’ve had a lovely few days full of activity and getting out & about!

Over the weekend we enjoyed:
💪 Exercise sessions
🏀 Ball games
☕ A trip to Barker and Stonehouse for coffee and cake
💅 A pamper morning
🃏 Card games to test our memory
🚌 A village mystery tour
🎉 And we even celebrated Erica’s birthday!

Today we kept ourselves moving with:

What a flipping good day we had at St Johns House Care Home yesterday! 😄

We started the morning with a game of carpet bowls, then it was time to celebrate Pancake Day! 🥞

Look at that skill, we’re pretty sure our Home Operations Manager, Kay, has been practicing!! 😆👏

Recently at St Johns House Care Home! 💙

Another lovely day at St Johns House! Yesterday morning we got moving with some exercise, followed by a fun quiz to get everyone thinking 🧠💪

In the afternoon, we had a nail-biting game of bingo, lots of excitement and cheering all round! 🎉

We also had a surprise visitor… Connie had a visit from Mr Pheasant right outside her window. What a lovely little moment from nature to brighten the day!

Recently at St Johns House Care Home! 💕

On Friday, we got into the Valentine’s spirit a little early with a pre-Valentine’s Day celebration! 🥰

We started the day with some exercise and a lively game of ping pong it definitely brought out everyone’s competitive side!🏓💪

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a fun quiz and took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about Valentine’s Days gone by. Then it was time to relax with tea served in our lovely china cups, alongside a gorgeous pink selection of cakes 🍰☕

A really love-ly day! 😊💗

This morning we enjoyed a game of bowling, it got very competitive!

We’ve also been busy with some lovely Valentine’s crafts and made a start on a new jigsaw puzzle, teamwork makes the dream work! 💌✨

A big well done to Marie, our January Employee of the Month at St Johns House👏

Marie is a consistently hard worker who always gives her best.

Recently, she has helped us out hugely by covering shifts and supporting the team whenever needed.

Her dedication and positive attitude are greatly appreciated by colleagues and residents alike.

Recently at St Johns House Care Home!

We’ve had a busy and lovely weekend 😊

John came in to sing for us, we enjoyed some exercise, and took a trip to Kirk Hammerton Café for delicious coffee and great chats ☕💬

We also did some relaxing colouring in preparation for our spring display 🌼🎨

On Sunday, we started the day with a word game and managed to find 100 words from hibernation, very impressive! 🧠👏

The afternoon was all about relaxation with a pamper session, enjoying soothing lavender manicures 💅

We also celebrated National Pizza Day by making our own homemade pizzas! 🍕

Yesterday at St Johns House Care Home!

We started the day with some exercise, followed by our residents’ meeting this afternoon. Later on, we enjoyed a calming meditation session, beautiful flower arranging, and some therapeutic colouring. 💛
