Lets talk about "When painkillers become part of the problem…"
Medicines like opioids, gabapentin, pregabalin, benzodiazepines and sleeping tablets can really help with pain in the short term 💊✨
But when used long-term, they can often stop working — and sometimes even make pain worse 😔
Over time, these medicines can increase the risk of:
⚠️ Dependence and withdrawal symptoms
⚠️ Increased pain
⚠️ Poor sleep and low mood
⚠️ Dizziness, falls and confusion
⚠️ Breathing problems (especially when medicines are combined)
We know that the thought of reducing pain medicines can feel worrying 💭💙

March is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

It’s important to know the signs and symptoms – especially as risk increases with age. Most cases develop in men aged 50 or older and prostate cancer is more common in Black men.

Prostate cancer often develops slowly, so there may be no symptoms for many years.

Early diagnosis and treatment can save lives. Contact us to make a GP appointment if you notice any changes in your body or something doesn’t feel right.
