🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Art Inspired By Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This afternoon we kicked off St Andrews week - our ladies enjoyed a wonderful creative session, recreating Scottish postcards using paints, crepe paper, and coloured pencils. We explored scenes from Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow, and Aberdeen — each one turning into a beautiful piece of artwork.

But after all our artistic travels, we all agreed with a smile that, just like Geordie Munroe, we’d still rather stay right here in lovely Kirkcaldy! 😂😂

🛍️ Get In Were Going Shopping! 🛍️

One of our lovely gents has always taken great pride in looking smart and well-dressed — but recently he felt it was time for a little wardrobe refresh. And we knew exactly what that meant… a shopping trip!

So on Saturday morning we headed to the sales at Livingston Designer Outlet for a bit of retail therapy and some new style staples. Of course, no outing would be complete without a stop at Marks & Spencer’s café for a treat, followed by a wander through all the beautiful Christmas decorations.

A wonderful day out, full of smiles, festive sparkle, and a very happy (and stylish!) gentleman.

On Friday morning in our social group we up-cycled some chipped tea cups into bird feeders using apples , seeds , oats and peanut butter! Afterwards we wrapped up and hung them up on the trees in our front garden! We can’t wait to see the birds come for their tea this winter ❄️

Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean we have to stay indoors! A few of our gents and ladies shared that they’d still love to get outside and enjoy some fresh air — so we’ve started our very own Winter Walkers Club!

Wrapped up warm and ready to go, our residents are enjoying gentle strolls, crisp winter air, and plenty of good company. Here’s to keeping active, boosting wellbeing, and embracing the season together! 💙

Today our gents took a mystery trip in the van and we ended up in Cupar! We took a stroll round Caulder Garden Centre and looked at the Christmas decorations and smelled some candles - looking at you Paige 👀😂 ! One of our gents reminisced his time spent in Cupar when he attended agricultural night school! After we headed to Fisher and Donaldson, Cupar for some rolls (and a few fudge doughnuts …. Here‘s what you’ve missed at Gowrie!

One of our ladies turned the big 90 (although she told us she’s 21 again 😂 - 90 is the new 21) she celebrated her day out with her family but her friends back at Gowrie wanted to celebrate with her too!

Our weekly pool club continues to be popular and one of her gents has been giving everyone else some hints and tips,

A few of our ladies have enjoyed having their nails done - with a cheeky gin on the side!

And our choir met today to decide which Christmas classic we’re going to take on and learn this year…. any guesses?
