Bridgehead Healing is a voluntary organisation based in central and west Fife which offers Christian prayer for healing in local community settings to anyone who needs this. Volunteers come from a variety of local churches in Fife and work across denominations. Our aim is to encourage and bless people and help connect them to the love of God.
The organisation consists of teams of trained volunteers, led and supported by Directors who report to a Management Board. An annual meeting is held for volunteers to discuss what we have done during the year and how to move forward in line with our vision and values. Feedback is taken to the annual meeting of the Management Board.
• We seek to connect people with God as we offer prayer for healing of any condition in a variety of local and accessible venues. We may offer further Deeper Healing (inner or emotional healing) by appointment.
• We seek to learn and grow in our understanding and faith about how God heals people and expect to be stretched and challenged by the Holy Spirit.
• Bridgehead Healing must be God-centred and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
• We aim to empower local Christians to pray for healing in themselves and others in the local area.
Values
• We seek to develop our own relationship with God and empower others to do the same.
• We focus on the whole person, as emotional, spiritual, physical and mental health are connected.
• We treat people with respect, love and honour, and avoid making judgements about them.
• We do not give counselling, advice or directional prophecy. We may suggest prayers and ideas for people to pray with us or offer ideas about how to continue praying at home, but this will be in a non-directive manner to encourage them to develop their own relationship with God.
• We explicitly encourage people to access medical services and support them in working within the care plan set by their medical advisors.
• We do not ask people for money, though we are very happy to receive donations to cover the costs of our ministry.
