Being a celebrant is so much more than standing beside families on one day.
It means carrying them with me long after the service has ended.

Some of you may have read my posts before, where I’ve shared how deeply this work stays with me. I often find myself thinking about the families I have had the honour of supporting — wondering how they are coping, and hoping they are finding moments of comfort while living with the heartache of missing someone they love so deeply.

Thank you for the lovely responses and kind messages I have received. They truly mean more than you know 🤍

Because grief doesn’t end, I want to continue supporting anyone who is grieving in a new and very personal way — by creating - handmade memory bears.

Each bear is made with love and care, and can include photos, names, dates, or special words if you wish. These bears can be created to honour a loved one, a cherished pet, or even from baby clothes you’ve kept close to your heart.

I am currently making a memory bear for my own chocolate lab, who suddenly passed away last year while we were away on holiday. Creating it has been incredibly emotional, but also healing. I’ll share a photo once he is finished.

Holding memories close can be comforting in ways words sometimes can’t reach. If a memory bear feels right for you, I’m here when you’re ready 🤍

I promise to put as much love into every bear I make, knowing how precious the memories they hold. ###x

For everyone who has lost someone this year, and in the years before — a friend, a family member, or a beloved pet — this is for you.

Grief doesn’t follow a calendar. It stays with us in quiet moments, in memories, in the love that never really leaves. If you’re carrying that weight, please know you’re not alone. Your feelings are valid, your memories matter, and your love continues in ways both seen and unseen.

As we step into a new year, I hope it brings you moments of peace, small sparks of joy, and the comfort of knowing that those you’ve lost are forever part of who you are. May you be gentle with yourself, may you find warmth in the people and moments around you, and may healing meet you at your own pace.

Wishing you strength, peace, and a little light in the year ahead 🤍

This Christmas, my heart is especially with those who are missing someone they love. 🎄🤍
The season can feel heavy when a chair is empty, a voice is quiet, or traditions don’t feel the same anymore. Grief doesn’t take a holiday, and it’s okay if joy and sadness sit side by side right now.

Please know you’re not forgotten. I’m thinking of you, holding space for your memories, and sending love and strength your way. May you be kind to yourself, take things at your own pace, and feel surrounded by care — even in the quiet moments.

You are not alone this Christmas. 🤍

One of the most humbling parts of my work is being trusted with people’s stories at their most vulnerable moments. I was so moved to receive a thoughtful gift from a family after their mum’s funeral. Truly thankful for the privilege of serving families when it matters most. 🤍
