This is Tentsmuir near St Andrews. I was looking for a vast space of water and I was recommended to visit here. This was a few months ago. I walked through a small wood, over white sandy dunes and saw this.
Instantly I felt calm and in total awe of the power of nature.
The water element is so powerful, a great reminder of movement and how nothing stands still A great cleanser and brings a gift of balance and energy.

Death and grief are a natural part of life and they visit each of us in unique and at times unexpected ways.
The natural cycles of life and death offers us an opportunity to celebrate and honour all that we loved, as grief is the result of love.
Loss comes in many forms not only the end of a life, it can be the end of an era, relationships, dreams, and much more.
Taking part in a fire ritual to honour our loved ones, our loss and to open our hearts to healing can bring great inner peace.
The coming together in ritual can be helpful if you are grieving or seeking to befriend and understand death and the cycle of life
This can be held privately for individuals, families or small groups.
Belik Kam is a member of the spirit of wolf shamanic community, death doula, grief counsellor and psychotherapist.

A walk around Abercorn Church today. Its history is over 1,400 years old, and there are viking-age hogback stones, which are funeral monuments from Norse settlers, blending Norse artistry along with christian themes, showing pagan influences in the region's burial customs.
Old gravestones feature symbols of trades and beliefs, sharing the history of the mix of cultures and over time the gradual absorption of Christianity over older traditions.
The ancient land and the church's history reflects the shift from Pictish and Celtic paganism to Christianity, with the presence of the older symbols and Norse stones in the graveyard it shows how pagan beliefs coexisted, influenced, and were eventually superseded by the new faith.
A very interesting place.

Hands are an extension of the heart.
Everything you touch, you touch with your heart.
When you stroke a child's head, when you prepare a meal for the family, when you light a candle, when you hold a loved one's hand, when you take care of your garden, when you knit a sweater for your sweetheart, when you feed the animals, when you set the table for friends...
This is how we share our heart fire, care and love. Often unknowingly.
The light of the heart has a healing power, an empowering power. It heals wounds, relieves pain, brings joy and vitality. So we can heal, empower, connect with every touch. We can share the healing light of the heart to a loved one, a child, a friend, an animal, a flower, a tree, the Earth, the Water...everything we touch.

Today I had a chat with a visitor over a cup of warming hibiscus tea, on the power of gratitude and how an open, loving heart can fundamentally change your world.
When we sit with gratitude for all of life's experiences—especially the small, everyday things—it acts as a great healer and opens new paths. This practice helps us realise that every single experience, whether easy or challenging, is a vital part of our personal journey.
During difficult times, shifting your focus to appreciation and gratitude brings new hope and positivity into your life.
Make time every day to notice the good things in life and acknowledge all that you are grateful for; nothing is too small. We all share fundamental gifts, from the earth beneath our feet to the wind on our face. There is so much to celebrate. 🔥

Animism. What does it mean? Have you ever looked at a large and ancient tree and felt a sense of its presence and wisdom or listened to a rushing river and felt like it had a voice. Have you felt that simply being close to nature changed how you think and feel.
Animism is the belief that everything around us—animals, plants, rivers, rocks, and even the weather, have their own spiritual essence.
We live in a world full of humans and non-human spirits, that we must respect and appreciate, through this relationship we can live a life more in balance and connected with our environment.
In this modern world many are disconnected from nature, (and each other) its important to remember the Earth isn't just a resource; it's alive and we are part of it forever connected.
I took this photo at Adberg. The most beautiful place that felt like a safe hug.
Do you have a place in nature where you feel a special connection?
