We appreciate this is frustrating but unfortunately the circumstances are out of our control.

We will update our availability as soon as we are able to offer appointments again. At this current time there is not an alternative solution we are able to offer.

I am pleased to announce that Bel from 5 Element Acupuncture will be working from my room in Sutherland's pharmacy on Mondays as of 4th August 2025.

Bel is an acupuncturist working in women's health, practising Five Elements Acupuncture. She is a member of the Acupuncture for Childbirth Team down south working in the field of fertility including IVF support, pregnancy & postpartum care. She's been attending many births over the past 20 years as a "Doula with needles". More recently working around supporting women through their menopausal years.

Please be aware of these road closures for Friday. The Orkney Island Games 2025 have been spectacular so far. We all hope you are enjoying them too 😊

How fantastic has Orkney 2025 been so far! Friday will see the cycling criterium event - a spectacular and exhilarating race through the streets of central Kirkwall.

To support the event there will be significant road closures in place affecting both vehicular and pedestrian access. For full details go to www.orkney2025.com

Games organisers are looking for the support of our community, visitors and householders in the area to ensure the event can be run safely. Notices will be placed on vehicles asking vehicle owners to remove them by 10am on Friday 18 July.

In addition, pedestrians may find that - once the road closures are in place - they won’t be able to cross from one side of closures to the other. For your own safety, and the safety of participants, please follow the advice of marshals in the area and do not move or open the barriers.

Orkney - and our signature warm Orcadian welcome - has really shone through at the Games. Let’s keep those good vibes going!
