Karoline is an ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist based in Orkney offering human, equine and canine physiotherapy treatment. She gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University in 2013 and since then has gained a wealth of experience working in a variety of areas within the NHS including falls prevention, wheelchair service, rehabilitation, community and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She currently works for NHS Grampian as a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist and is also a fully qualified Acupuncturist. Always a keen animal enthusiast Karoline went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Liverpool and became a Category A ACPAT physiotherapist. It can help to promote healing, ease pain, increase strength and improve function. Animals often display subtle signs of pain through change in behaviours, lameness, stiffness and/or poor performance. Physiotherapy is useful to identifying contributing factors and provide appropriate treatment or advice to make the animal more comfortable. Already experienced in human physiotherapy Karoline has the unique ability to assess both horse and rider to ensure a seamless flawless partnership. Physiotherapy can help anyone from the elite agility dog/event horse to the family pet/happy hacker. Karoline is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, The Health and Care Professions Council, The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy and is fully insured. At present the assessment is completed within your own home/yard. Please contact for further details and availability. All veterinary physiotherapy assessment and treatments are undertaken with prior consent from your veterinary surgeon accordance with the veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, Section 9.
