How often do we celebrate our achievements or drown our sorrows in sugar and high carbohydrate foods?

The answer is a lot.

At my local gym before I moved, I used to see gym users after their workout coming out of Starbucks with a 2ft Frappuccino with all the cream and caramel trimmings. Why? Because they did a tough workout and this was their reward.

Likewise when people have gone through a stressful day and come home to their favourite foods to soothe themselves. So many movies depict this in that typical situation when a woman is on her couch eating a tub of ice cream after a break up.

Sugar is that friend that will always be there for you during your highs and lows but is it actually good for you?

If you are struggling with signs of burnout, know that you are not alone.

So many people are quietly dealing with burnout but refuse to acknowledge it.

We see so many people boasting about how little sleep they need at night and how busy and 'productive' they are. This is not a lifestyle to look up to, it is a health and burnout disaster waiting to happen.

I know this, cause I've been there.

But I changed it all around once I learnt the tools and you can learn them too.
