It means we get to know our patients properly — not just your prescription, but you. What your days look like, what's changed since your last visit, what you actually need from your glasses.

It means we take the time. For routine appointments and for the moments when something doesn't feel right and you need someone to help you work out what to do next.

It's not always straightforward, but our team genuinely care about getting it right — and that's something we're really proud of.

Sometimes what looks like a seasonal reaction is something else worth getting checked. And if antihistamines haven't helped, it's a good sign your eyes might need a proper look.

We’re pleased to report that the team are racking up the miles and getting into the fundraising spirit!

We’ve had lots of companions on our miles, some with four legs, some with two!

Thanks to those who have donated so far, we’d love to raise £500 for RNLI so if you can, please donate via the link below. We also have a collection box and some merch in store so feel free to drop some pennies in there if you’re in to see us.

A big thank you to the Stromness Lifeboat Station for all the merch to help dress up the window - we think Ruth did a great job (of the window and the modelling 🤣🙊)

Tomorrow marks the first of May, and the team at Clark’s will be completing their first miles in the RNLI Mayday Mile challenge. Walking, running (or moving somehow!) for a mile every day throughout the month.

The RNLI is a charity that’s really close to our hearts and plays a hugely important role in keeping our local community safe.

We also thought this was a great way to get us all outside and moving a bit more, so we wanted to get involved and show our support.
