Big news this Easter we’re updating our staff uniforms for the weekend!

All carers will now be required to wear giant Easter bonnets, complete with spring flowers, colourful ribbons, and the occasional wobbly chick on a spring.
Perfect for brightening up home visits and making the kettle boil a little faster.

🌟 We’re absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news from our North Yorkshire branch! 🌟

Last week, our service underwent a full Quality Assurance Inspection conducted by North Yorkshire Council and we’re delighted to announce that we passed with flying colours! 🎉💛

Inspectors were incredibly impressed by the standard of care they observed, praising the team’s professionalism, thoroughness, and commitment to safe, person‑centred practice. They were so satisfied with what they saw that they chose to conclude the inspection early.

Alongside the care delivered in the community, the inspection also recognised the huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes. Our management team complete extensive audits, reviews, and quality checks every week the governance work that keeps our service safe, compliant, and running to the highest standard. This includes reviewing care plans, medication records, risk assessments, incident follow‑ups, staff training, and all the documentation that proves our care is consistent and accountable. It’s a significant amount of work, and it played a major part in this fantastic result.

This achievement reflects the dedication, consistency, and heart our team brings to every visit, every note, and every interaction. High standards aren’t something we save for inspection day they’re the level of care our clients receive every single day.

To our wonderful staff: thank you. Your hard work, compassion, and commitment to doing things properly both in care and in documentation are what make this service exceptional.

We’ve been a little quiet on here recently while focusing on our day-to-day work supporting people in their own homes across North Yorkshire. Now, we’re looking forward to being more active on Facebook and sharing more of what we do.

🌟 Appreciating Nicola– Director of Care Services & Registered Manager🌟

Nicola is the Director of Care Services for the Care and Support Group and the Registered Manager for our County Durham location. 📍

She oversees domiciliary care services for adults and children while also supporting all branches with quality assurance, auditing, and HR. With over 20 years in healthcare, including 10 in management, Nicola has led the team through successful CQC and local authority inspections — most recently in February 2025.

She is passionate about continuous learning and regularly completes short training courses to enhance her skills.

Thank you, Nicola, from the North Yorkshire team for your continued support & knowledge. 💜👏

🌟 Celebrating Becca – Our Branch Manager for Harrogate, Knaresborough & Ripon! 🌟

Becca’s career began with health & social care studies before serving in the British Army as a Combat Medical Technician in the Royal Artillery Regiment. After returning to civilian life, she followed her passion for helping others and entered the health sector — a path she’s been on for 16 years.

Since joining The Care & Support Group in 2021 as a carer, Becca’s dedication and leadership have seen her progress to Senior Carer, Care Coordinator, Acting Branch Manager, and now Branch Manager. She is committed to ensuring the highest standards of care for clients, while supporting and valuing her team.

Outside work, Becca is a proud mum of two, loves dancing and singing in the kitchen, annual holidays abroad, and long walks for the mind and soul. She lives by the motto: “What you plant now, you will harvest later.”

Lauren brings dedication, energy, and a true passion for making a difference. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of care and supporting her team every step of the way.

With a career in care since 1992, Majella has worked across vulnerable families, homelessness, elderly care, mental health, learning disabilities, supported living, nursing, residential, addiction services, and domiciliary care. A short detour into retail confirmed her true passion lies in supporting people to live their best lives.

As a manager, Majella believes in being firm but fair, creating a valued and respected team, and offering staff every opportunity to develop. Her vision for North Yorkshire is full recruitment, strong leadership, and a workplace people love to be part of.

Outside work, she’s been married 32 years, has two grown-up children, loves the outdoors, active holidays, walking in the Lakes and Northumberland, and is a regular Parkrun enthusiast with more running challenges ahead! 🏃‍♀️💪

With nearly 30 years in the care sector, John brings a wealth of experience in helping organisations grow across the UK. His background includes extensive work in Domiciliary Care, Supported Living, and Complex Care, and we’re excited for the expertise and insight he will bring to our team.

Based in the North East, John is passionate about making a difference in care – and in his spare time, he’s a joint-owner of a local non-league football club, enjoys going to gigs, and loves travelling to “off the beaten track” destinations.
