Happy International Women’s Day 💜

Today we’re celebrating the incredible women of Elderflower Care Services… the real life superheroes of thecare world!

Not the glamorous kind though.

The kind who can:

☕ make 14 different cups of tea and coffee exactly how everyone likes them

🔍 find missing glasses that are literally on someone’s head

📺 fix the TV that’s “definitely broken” (it was on the wrong channel)

🧦 locate the missing slipper that the dog has proudly hidden

🚗 navigate country lanes, tractors and mystery postcodes with 3 minutes to spare.

Our team of women who also have a special skill where they pop in for a 30 minute call and somehow leave an hour later after:

✔ a cup of tea

✔ two biscuits

✔ hearing three life stories

✔ and being told “you’re the nice girl who came earlier”… even though you’ve been visiting for 3 years.

In all seriousness though, the kindness, patience and humour our team of women bring to their work every single day makes such a difference to the lives of the people we support.

We are incredibly lucky to have you.

Now go put the kettle on… you’ve probably got five teas waiting somewhere. 💜

Valentine’s Day done the Elderflower way 💕

Hannah has been out and about delivering our little heart-filled care packages to our wonderful clients, and what a joy it’s been to see so many of them proudly donning their heart headbands! ❤️

There’s been laughter, sweet treats, and plenty of special moments shared between our clients and carers. It’s these small thoughtful touches that make such a big difference and remind everyone that they are valued, remembered and cared for.

A huge thank you to Hannah and our incredible team of carers who always go that extra mile to bring warmth and happiness into the homes we visit. We’re so proud of the love and compassion shown every single day.

✨ We’ve got some exciting news to share! ✨

After many, many wonderful years at Richmond House in Boroughbridge, it’s soon time for a new chapter for our Elderflower Yorkshire team 🌿

Our Boroughbridge office has been home to so many precious memories welcoming incredible staff, supporting amazing clients and their families, and sadly saying goodbye to clients we’ve lost along the way 💔. We’re honoured to have supported families through both the happiest moments and the hardest times, and we’re deeply grateful for everything those walls have witnessed 💜.

Now, we’re excited to share that we’ll be moving just down the road to our new office in Ripon. This move gives us a fresh start in a more inviting space where we can continue to grow, train, and warmly welcome our staff, clients, and families.

We’re not moving far, and most importantly, our service will continue exactly as normal just from a new home 🏡✨

We’re looking for a Live-in Carer to work Friday to Tuesday on a rolling rota supporting a lovely client in the Castle Howard area.

🚗 Must be 25+, a confident driver, and able to drive the clients large fleet vehicle for appointments/ social trips.
