✨ Staff Star of the Moment ✨

Today we’re shining a very well-deserved spotlight on our amazing Noreen 💜

Noreen is one of those truly special members of the team who works quietly in the background, never looking for praise but constantly going above and beyond in everything she does.

Her calm, gentle nature and genuine compassion make such a difference to the people she supports every single day.

In particular, the relationship she has built with one of our clients living with complex, almost non-verbal dementia is nothing short of incredible. Where communication can be challenging, Noreen has shown such patience, understanding, and consistency finding her own unique ways to connect, reassure, and bring comfort.
The trust and bond between them speaks volumes, and it’s a beautiful reminder of how powerful truly person-centred care can be.

It’s not just about the tasks with Noreen it’s about dignity, respect, and making every client feel safe, valued, and understood. She takes the time, she notices the little things, and she genuinely cares.

We are so proud to have you as part of our team, Noreen. Thank you for the quiet, compassionate, and life-changing work you do every day you make a bigger impact than you probably realise 💫

We have a rare little pocket of time available between 2pm and 4:30pm on some days for companionship support 🤍

This could be for a trip out to the shops, help getting to appointments, or just some relaxed, friendly company at home whatever is needed most.

These spaces don’t come up often, so if you feel this would benefit you or a loved one, please reach out and we can chat through how we can help.

We can confirm… bunny ears suit absolutely everyone no exceptions 😄🐰

There’s been laughter, chocolate eggs mysteriously disappearing 🍫👀, and a few debates over who wore the ears best (still undecided… although some of our clients are strong contenders! 😂)

Moments like these are what it’s all about a bit of fun, lots of smiles, and making memories together 💜

We feel incredibly lucky to share these days with such amazing people 🫶

A huge thank you as always to our incredible Hannah for putting together the beautiful Easter treat bags they’ve gone down an absolute treat! 🐣🎁🍫🐰

💜A trip to Yolk Farm Kitchen … or as we like to call it, a very serious cake-tasting mission 🍰👀

There were animals to inspect 🐖 🐐(someone had to make sure they were behaving), fresh air to enjoy 🌿… but let’s be honest, we all know what the real highlight was coffee and cake (purely for quality control purposes, of course ☕😉).

Safe to say the cake passed with flying colours… might need another visit just to double check though 🤷‍♀️😂

Days like this are what it’s all about a good laugh, a little adventure, and making the kind of memories that stick 💜

Happy International Women’s Day 💜

Today we’re celebrating the incredible women of Elderflower Care Services… the real life superheroes of thecare world!

Not the glamorous kind though.

The kind who can:

☕ make 14 different cups of tea and coffee exactly how everyone likes them

🔍 find missing glasses that are literally on someone’s head

📺 fix the TV that’s “definitely broken” (it was on the wrong channel)

🧦 locate the missing slipper that the dog has proudly hidden

🚗 navigate country lanes, tractors and mystery postcodes with 3 minutes to spare.

Our team of women who also have a special skill where they pop in for a 30 minute call and somehow leave an hour later after:

✔ a cup of tea

✔ two biscuits

✔ hearing three life stories

✔ and being told “you’re the nice girl who came earlier”… even though you’ve been visiting for 3 years.

In all seriousness though, the kindness, patience and humour our team of women bring to their work every single day makes such a difference to the lives of the people we support.

We are incredibly lucky to have you.

Now go put the kettle on… you’ve probably got five teas waiting somewhere. 💜
