Don’t leave an ingrowing toe nail. Podiatrists can fix the problem to ensure that you are pain and infection free.
Podiatrists can perform Nail Surgery under Local Anaesthetic to permanently fix the problem.

However, not every ingrown toe nail requires surgery, sometimes conservative management is the best way forward.

Come and speak to us to see what we can do to help you.

NHS England reported 3,890 ingrown toenails presented at A&E last winter. Podiatrists are the experts in foot and lower limb care and can provide specialist care for ingrown nails, including minor surgery to resolve them. Check with your local NHS for podiatry access criteria or find your nearest private podiatrist at https://rcpod.org.uk/find-a-podiatrist and save A&E for the critical care.

Lots of people ask us how laser works.
Here’s a brief explanation.

MLS laser is an advanced, non-invasive therapy that uses a patented Multiwave Locked System to combine two synchronized wavelengths of infrared light to reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling while promoting tissue repair. The therapy is effective for a wide range of musculoskeletal and chronic conditions, including arthritis, plantar fasciitis, and sports injuries, offering pain relief and improved mobility without medication or surgery. The sessions are typically quick and often described as having a warm, soothing sensation.
How it works
Synergistic effect: The two synchronized wavelengths work together to achieve greater anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects than either wavelength could alone.
Cellular regeneration: The laser light stimulates cellular activity, increasing ATP production to help cells repair themselves faster.
Inflammation reduction: One wavelength activates anti-inflammatory proteins, while the other reduces swelling by creating a mechanical effect.
Pain inhibition: A second wavelength works to inhibit pain pathways to the brain.

Conditions treated

fasciitis
tendonitis
strains and tears
injuries
and nerve pain
tissue wounds
Diabetic ulcers
Sports injuries
Post-surgical recovery
Chilblains

During the treatment you may feel a warm, soothing sensation. The treatment is non-invasive and painless.
Some improvement may be noticeable after the first session, with significant results often appearing after three treatments.
Treatment frequency: The number of sessions needed depends on the severity of the condition.

Now the weather is getting colder we are often asked what can be done for Chillblains.
Chillblains not only affect the toes but also the fingers.
We have a number of treatment options that we can recommend for keeping Chillblains at bay.

Laser is one of our treatment options it works on the body’s inflammatory system.
The picture below show 3 sessions of laser which helped with the patients joint mobility and reduced pain, encouraging a good blood supply back to the areas affected.
