Important safety update from the MHRA:
Please avoid using non‑sterile alcohol‑free wipes for first aid, as they can pose an infection risk. Only use wipes labelled sterile on cuts, wounds, or broken skin. Sharing this to help keep everyone safe.

📢 Patients advised to stop using certain non-sterile alcohol-free wipes

Together with the UK Health Security Agency, we are advising the public to stop using and dispose of specific non-sterile alcohol-free wipes as they may be contaminated with a bacteria called Burkholderia stabilis.

Affected products include:

- ValueAid Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes

- Microsafe Moist Wipe Alcohol Free

- Steroplast Sterowipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes

- Reliwipe Alcohol Free Cleansing Wipes

April is World Autism Acceptance month, an opportunity to raise awareness, foster acceptance and support Autism and Autistic people.

A shout out to our inspirational 2024 alumni Jane McNeice, mental health campaigner and the founder of Mind Matters.

Jane speaks publicly about her experiences of late diagnosis Autism and Dyscalculia at the age of 45, and is an Amazon best-selling author of ‘The Umbrella Picker’ and ‘Strength not Deficit', sharing her experiences of living undiagnosed for 45 years.

Established in 2015 as a result of Jane's lived experience and work in mental health, Mind Matters Training delivers courses such as Mental Health First Aid, Su***de First Aid, SafeTALK, resilience, and manager training in mental health.

The training instructors have a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experience in mental health and neurodivergence that they want to share with others to improve quality of life.
