Final Day day 5 Portugal top to toe. With Straumann uk and Dentaid Charity.

Great day was expecting a gental ride down to Faro ...not a chance 135km. Steep climbs in 30⁰ heat. But finished altogether with beer n a medal. Great trip massive thank you to my team mates for pulling me along. Also the support crew from Straumann and Pie who were all outstanding all week.👏👏

Day 4 cycling with the Straumann group for Dentaid Charity Montargil to Albuferia
162km. Very long day in the saddle 7hrs 🥵. Great day rode really hard at the front of the group most of the time.

Day 3 Riding with Straumann and Dentaid charity.Peqrogao to Montargil. 134km and 1477 meters up hill. 🥵 Great day, fantastic support from the Straumann team and Pie organisation. We needed their expertise in fixing a few issues, broken spoke and a slow puncture. We are over half way two more days till we hit the coast at Vale do Lobo.🥳🥳

DAY TWO: TOP TO TOE DENTAID CHARITY RIDE. Down the centre of Portugal!! Following the N2 route Portuguese route 66
153km (95 miles) ridden with 2491 metres of climbing.
A massive thankyou to the team at PIE who organises everything regarding the cycling and look after us on the road.
And to Straumann uk and Dentaid for putting together this event, great job all round.❤️

DAY ONE OF THE TOP TO TOE DENTAID CHARITY RIDE.
Hard day in the saddle over 160km ridden with 2467 metres of climbing.

My story:
Since being involved in a life changing cycling accident in May 2021, I have thankfully recovered well enough to take on the challenge of the Straumann Cycle in aid of Dentaid. It has been a tough journey and lots of personal challenges but I'm excited to conquer the next part of my journey.

From 27th September – 1st October 2024 a group of Straumann customers and a team of Straumann staff will take part in this challenging event. We will cycle for 5 days, 100 miles a day, from the Top to the Toe of Portugal, starting in Chaves and finishing by the sea in the beautiful Albufeira.

The funds raised during this event will go directly to Dentaid. By supporting our event, you’ll be contributing to helping Dentaid purchase a new mobile dental unit so they can visit more communities across the UK.

Dentaid The Dental Charity provides dental care and oral health advice for people experiencing homelessness and other under-served communities. Their mobile dental units travel the UK providing outreach dental clinics for people who struggle to access treatment.
