Ashamed to say this is my current supplement stash 😳

And this is after a massive clear out at the weekend (I had about 4x this amount - most out of date 🙈)

In my defence, I don’t take them all AND I do get sent lots of free samples by supplement companies (excuses, excuses 😂)

HOWEVER, the good thing about this rather large collection of supplements is that they are all high quality, high potency and highly effective products.

Not like many of the supplements out there.

Unfortunately, many of the supplements on the high street are ineffective - and dare I say it - harmful. They contain cheap, poor quality ingredients, in a form the body can’t tolerate or use properly and they're full of nasty fillers and additives 😢

In fact, most supplements out there have such low levels of usable nutrients they won't make a jot of difference to how you feel - especially if you are deficient.

Feedback from a recent client 🥰

This lady came to see me because she was struggling with persistent low energy and low mood, which was preventing her from socialising and enjoying life outside of work.

She refused to accept that it was simply down to ageing and wanted to get to the bottom of what was going on 💪 In her words, she wanted to get her energy back “so I can do what I want, when I want”.

We reviewed her blood test from the GP, which confirmed her Vitamin B12, Folate and Vitamin D were well below the optimal range.

We made some simple tweaks to her diet and added in a couple of targeted supplements.

Low and behold a few weeks later, her energy is back and she’s feeling MUCH better in herself 🥳

I've seen far too many clients recently who've been told by their doctors that everything looks normal on their blood labs, but a quick look at their results shows lots of markers on the very low/high end of the 'normal' scale and WAY out of the optimal range. No wonder they feel rubbish 😔

There is a HUGE difference between 'normal' and 'optimal' on blood labs and you can 💯 be experiencing symptoms outside of the optimal range. It breaks my heart this isn't recognised by the medical profession and patients who are really struggling with their health are being told everything is fine - when it really isn't! 💔

I thought I’d introduce myself as I've had some new followers recently 🥳

👋 I’m Helen, 48-year old wife, mother, business owner, life juggler and proud Northerner. I’m also a registered Nutritional Therapist and Wellbeing Coach.

🔥 I'm on a mission to help women in midlife get their mojo back using the incredible power of nutrition, lifestyle and mindset coaching. Too many women are struggling with their health unnecessarily and I want to change this.

🌈 I live in Cheshire but work with clients nationwide (thank you Zoom). I do mainly 1:1 coaching but I have plans to expand into group programmes as I’ve come to realise there is nothing more powerful than a group of women with a common goal!

🎯 I'm a big fan of testing because it pinpoints exactly what is causing your symptoms and enables a really targeted approach. Testing was a game changer for me in understanding and regaining my own health.

🚀 I also do corporate work such in-person workshops, online webinars and drop-in clinics. Investing in employee wellbeing brings huge benefits to individuals AND organisations so it’s a bit of a no-brainer really.

🥑 I don’t actually enjoy cooking 😳 so I’m all about simplicity and quick and easy solutions. This approach seems to work for my clients who are often busy professionals, juggling families and other responsibilities.

❤️ Apparently I'm an ambivert (a mix of introvert and extrovert!) I love (need) solitude but I'm also very sociable, so I try to get out and about as much as possible and do plenty of talks, workshops and events.

Find out WHY 🧐

WHY are you exhausted, moody, depressed, anxious, foggy, piling on the pounds?

WHY have you got symptoms?

Is it just your age (erm no!), menopause (possibly) or is it down to something else such as a nutrient deficiency, hormone imbalance, poor gut health or even a food sensitivity?

And if there is an imbalance or deficiency of some kind, then WHY? Could it be due to your diet, some aspect of your lifestyle or your genetics perhaps?

You see, only when you know WHY, can you deal with the problem properly.

Knowing the WHY allows you to address the real root cause.

And when you address the root cause, that’s when you get (and stay) better.

When my mental and physical health deteriorated in my early 40’s I didn’t know why. I seriously considered medication as a sticking plaster for my symptoms.

Luckily I went to college to study nutrition, did some tests and found out why I was in such a bad way.

This enabled me to get really targeted in my approach to my healing and address the ROOT CAUSE, not the symptoms.

And I can honestly say I feel better now than I have done in years – although I’m still very much work in progress 😉

What’s really changed though, is that I feel empowered and in control of my health in a way I have never done before. Because I understand the why.
