3am. Wide awake.
You know that feeling β you think you've slept for hours. You check your phone. Midnight. π©
A bathroom trip, back to bed, nice and cosy⦠and then. There it is. The mind decides NOW is the perfect time to start firing up. Random thoughts. Ridiculous ones. The kind that make zero sense at any hour, let alone this one.
I snuggled into Raj. Stole some of his body heat (sorry not sorry π₯°). It was lovely. Genuinely lovely. But sleep? Still nowhere to be found.
So I did what I know works.
I lay on my back. Switched Reiki on. Moved through the 12 hand positions β and by position 5, my body and mind had softened. Quietened. Let go.
I slept through until 7am.
This is one of the things nobody talks about enough β perimenopause and menopause can absolutely wreck your sleep. Hormonal shifts disrupt the nervous system, making those 3am wake-ups and racing minds incredibly common. You're not broken. Your body is just asking for support.
Reiki is one of the ways I give mine that support. πΏ
