💫 Energy in Motion 💫
I’ve known for a while that I’ve been holding tension in my sacral area — the space of creativity, emotion, and flow. Tonight during Reiki, I invited in the grounding energy of Balance essential oil and the soothing presence of my amethyst crystal.

The earthy aroma of Balance helped me feel anchored and safe in my body, allowing me to soften into the experience rather than resist it. The gentle vibration of amethyst brought calm and clarity, opening space for emotions to rise and move freely.

As the session unfolded, I could feel the energy shifting — emotions flowing from my sacral area, moving upward through my body like a wave of release. There was peace in simply allowing it all to move, to be witnessed, and to let go.

Feeling lighter, more open, and deeply grateful for this healing journey. 💜

🌿 Listening to My Back: Releasing Tension, Emotionally and Physically 🌿

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been struggling with a bad back. At first, the symptoms eased off and I thought I was through the worst of it — but over the last few days, that familiar tightness has crept back in. It’s not the sharp kind of pain, more that deep, tense feeling that makes every movement feel restricted, like the muscles just won’t let go.

And honestly, when I take a step back, it makes complete sense. Life’s been full recently — a few things on my mind, a few worries that have sat heavier than I’d like to admit. Historically, my lower back has always been a bit of a “hotspot” for holding tension. It’s the place where stress, worry, and emotional strain seem to take up residence when I haven’t given them enough space to move through me.

The Mind–Body Connection

It’s something I’ve come to recognise over the years: my body speaks to me long before my mind catches up. When I’m anxious, my breath shortens. When I’m overwhelmed, my shoulders creep up towards my ears. And when I’m carrying the weight of too much for too long — it settles right there, in my lower back.

This time, though, I feel more empowered. Rather than simply waiting for the discomfort to pass, I’m listening more deeply to what it’s trying to tell me. I’m working with my GP to make sure nothing structural is going on, but alongside that, I’m focusing on ways to release tension naturally — through gentle movement, mindfulness, and emotional release.

Supporting My Body Naturally

As part of this journey, I’ve been exploring natural ways to support muscle relaxation and overall wellbeing. Essential oils have been part of my self-care toolkit for a while, and lately, I’ve been leaning into some of my favourites from dōTERRA to help my back — and my mood — unwind a little.

When the world feels overwhelming
I notice the weight that’s been building — the mornings that feel hard to greet,
the nights where my mind won’t quiet,
the early hours that find me restless.

And still, I ask myself softly:
How am I speaking to me?

May my voice be one of love,
offering patience when I stumble,
compassion when I feel small,
kindness as I sort through the tangle of what’s bothering me.

Because healing isn’t loud or perfect —
it’s gentle, it’s slow,
and it begins with how I speak to myself
