Malachi Byrnes, Physiotherapist from Physiofit of Alderley Edge runs a weekly exercise class for residents to participate in, held the activities lounge. Malachi has such passion, expertise and a caring approach creating person-centered classes for the resident’s needs. The NHS recommend adults should do some type of physical activity every day, and we know exercise helps age-related muscle loss, and encourage residents to join in these fun enjoyable weekly classes.

Today is International Day of Friendship 2025 designed to encourage people to honour and appreciate their current and old friends. We celebrated with the gift of a personal certificate of friendship in recognition of “kindness, laughter, and the warmth brought to those around you”. Friendship is the golden thread that ties hearts together. This year’s international theme is promoting Peace: Encouraging dialogue and understanding between different communities. Building Trust: Developing strong ties that contribute to social harmony and cooperation.

Residents set off on a trip to Delamere Forest, a large wood in the village of Delamere in Cheshire. Cranford Grange arranges trips and excursions providing opportunities for residents to visit favourite destinations and new adventures. Creating new memories and new experiences together.

The surprise Birthday Cake went down a treat today as we celebrated Sheila’s 93rd birthday. This year to celebrate Cranford Grange grand opening of the 3.2m refurbishment, Sheila had the honour of cutting the ribbon alongside the Mayor of Cheshire East, Councillor Marilyn Houston. Sheila’s late husband Russel was Mayor of Macclesfield in 1995 and former Town Mayor of Bollington while Sheila joined him as Mayoress. We are proud to celebrate many enriched current and past, memories and wish Sheila a very Happy and joyful Birthday from us all at Cranford Grange.

What at stupendous trip it was to Knowsley Safari Park, a 550-acre Safari Drive with the famous Baboons, White Rhino and African Lions, to the lovable Meerkats - We spotted them all driving around the grounds, concluding with the stunning Sealion Cove Show. Residents enjoyed every moment, it’s a trip that’s definitely on the Wishlist to return.
