We’re so excited to be adding Jivamukti Yoga to our timetable, a practice that weaves together strong, flowing movement with music, philosophy, breathwork and compassion-led teachings.

Jivamukti is a dynamic, soulful style of yoga rooted in Ahimsa, love and kindness to all living beings. Expect a practice that moves beyond the physical: strong, intelligent asana paired with spiritual focus, mindful breath and thoughtfully curated music. It’s energising, uplifting and deeply intentional.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Sharon, a certified 300hr Jivamukti yoga teacher and practitioner, to guide this new offering. Sharon’s classes are beautifully structured and immersive, taking you on a journey through:
• a short meditation with a weekly spiritual theme
• breathing techniques
• gentle warm-up and balance work
• a strong vinyasa-style flow
• stretching and a deeply relaxing savasana, all flowing seamlessly to a unique, enchanting playlist.

Through the connection of breath, intention and posture, Sharon’s classes cultivate strength and flexibility in the body while supporting clarity and calm in the mind.

Join Sharon every Thursday evening at 6:45pm
All abilities are welcome, classes are adaptable and inclusive.

And don’t panic, Reo isn’t going anywhere 💙
From 17th February, Reo will be taking over Tuesday 5:45pm Hot Yin Yang, continuing to bring her magic to the space.

We can’t wait for you to experience Jivamukti at Satya. Book in and come explore something new.

A playful and creative workshop designed to support children’s movement, imagination and self-expression.

Children will begin with a fun, age-appropriate yoga class, encouraging movement, coordination, focus and confidence through storytelling, breath and gentle poses. After moving their bodies, they’ll settle into a creative mandala-making session, a calming, mindful activity that allows children to express themselves through colour, pattern and design.

Creating mandalas is a wonderful way for children to explore creativity while naturally developing concentration and a sense of calm. Each child will leave with their own beautiful artwork to take home.

This workshop offers a balanced blend of movement and creativity in a welcoming, engaging environment.

Suitable for ages: 4-10 (children under 4 may attend with a parent)
Price: £15 per child

A joyful introduction to movement, mindfulness and creative play. To book download the Satya Sanctuary app or head to our website Events page

Every body walks into the room carrying something.

Loved up. Lonely. Excited. Worried. Tired. New. Grieving. And yes, that includes the teachers too.

No two days feel the same, and no one arrives to class as a blank slate. That’s why we don’t believe movement should look one way, feel one way, or demand the same thing from you every time. Some days you move with fire, some days you move gently, some days just showing up is the practice.

Often it’s the days you least want to come that end up giving you the most, the grounding of breath, the permission to feel, the quiet lift that comes from moving alongside others.

So however you’re arriving today, there’s space for you here.
Honour where you are. Let the movement meet you there.

Join us on the mat or reformer this week, book a class and come as you are.

Meet Leena, our newest teacher at Satya Sanctuary

We’re so excited (and honestly a little full-circle emotional) to be welcoming Leena to the studio. In her own quiet, powerful way, Leena has already helped to shape the story of Satya, because it was after stepping out of one of her classes back in 2019 that our founder Charlotte felt the shift, and booked her yoga teacher training there and then. A seed was planted… and here we are.

Leena’s teaching is rooted in a lifelong relationship with yoga, nature and creative expression. She began practising as a child alongside her grandfather and within her community, and has since trained with world-renowned teachers. As a qualified art psychotherapist, Leena brings depth, sensitivity and a strong grounding in mental health to everything she offers.

Her classes gently weave together breath, movement, ritual and seasonal awareness, creating space for self-discovery, healing and reconnection. Leena’s presence is calm, intuitive and soulful, supporting each student to feel seen, supported and inspired.

Leena will be sharing her signature class, Nature Flow, every Sunday morning from 10:30–11:30am.

Nature Flow is inspired by the elements and what’s unfolding in the natural world, earth, sky, sun, moon, seasons, cycles and festivals. Expect fluid, thoughtfully paced sequences with a strong focus on alignment, breath and transitions, balanced with intentional holds to build strength. Each class also weaves in pranayama, somatic release, meditative moments, mudras and philosophy, creating a fully rounded, embodied practice that supports harmony, inner peace and self-realisation.

We truly can’t wait for you to experience Leena’s teaching and to meet her in the space. Leena’s first class will be Sunday 8th February

Unpopular opinions: Pilates Edition
Let’s gently ruffle a few feathers!

1. Pilates isn’t gentle, it’s intelligent.
Pilates isn’t about throwing your body around or chasing burn for the sake of it. It’s precise, intentional, and deeply thoughtful. The challenge comes from control, awareness, and connection, not impact.

2. Advanced Pilates looks calm, not performative.
When someone is truly advanced, it often looks effortless. No flailing. No rushing. Just smooth transitions, steady breath, and quiet strength doing the work beneath the surface.

3. Pilates is about longevity, not aesthetics.
Yes, you may feel & look strongerbut that’s a by-product, not the goal. Pilates is about moving well for life: supporting joints, improving posture, and keeping your body resilient as the years go on.

4. Pilates won’t “fix” you, it will reveal you.
It shows you where you compensate, where you hold tension, where strength is missing and where control can grow. From there, real change happens, not through forcing, but through awareness.

5. Pilates isn’t just for women.
Joseph Pilates created the method for every body, including athletes and soldiers. Strength, mobility, coordination and control are universal needs, regardless of gender.

6. Quality over quantity. Always.
Ten intentional, well-executed movements will always beat fifty rushed ones. Progress comes from consistency, patience, and returning to the basics again and again.
