We have been made aware of a scam telephone call whereby the caller claims to be a health professional from a local GP practice. The recipient of the call is eventually asked for bank details in order to try a new medication.

PLEASE NOTE - WE WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR BANK DETAILS.

If you receive a call of this nature please let us know so that we can report it.

Knutsford Medical Partnership have 2 social prescribing link workers Denise and Maria. Many things that affect our health cannot be treated by doctors or medicine alone, like loneliness, isolation or stress due to problems with debt or housing. Social prescribing connects people to non-medical support to address these issues and other unmet needs.

Public consultation on proposed changes to gluten free prescribing

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is holding a public consultation on a proposal to stop making gluten free bread and bread mixes available on prescription.
Gluten free bread and bread mixes are sometimes prescribed to individuals who live with coeliac disease, or other diagnosed conditions which mean that people have to follow a gluten free diet.
The public consultation is a chance for people to find out more about the proposal and share their views. It takes place between 28 January and 11 March 2025. The feedback received will be used to make a final decision about the proposal.
