With nearly 25 years of culinary experience, Karl is passionate about raising the standard of care home dining and showcasing how creativity and quality can transform mealtimes for residents.
His theme for the competition “Great Britain”, will see him reimagine a classic British dish and dessert with a modern twist. ✨

From Royal Marine to Green Fingers 🌿

We’re so lucky to have so many wonderful people at Langdon House, and one of them is Michael, our amazing gardener who joined us earlier this year.

Michael served 18 years in the Royal Marines and turned to gardening as a form of therapy.

Since joining Langdon House, Michael’s kindness, positivity, and green fingers have transformed our gardens and our days. He even rescued a tiny one-legged robin who now happily lives in the garden shed under his care. 🪶❤️

Michael’s story is one of hope, healing, and the power of nature—and we couldn’t be prouder to have him as part of our Langdon House family. 🌸

What a wonderful afternoon at Ashlynn Grange! 💐

Our residents, families, and local community came together for a truly special Afternoon Tea Party, held alongside our regular Community Café (Dementia Café).

Every detail, from the vintage teacups and pastel flowers to the delicious homemade cakes and sandwiches, was prepared with love by our amazing team. The air was filled with music from the talented King and Rackham duo.🎶

A Beautiful Morning at Aria Court 🌸☕🎶

What a wonderful day we had at Aria Court’s Community Café & Morning Tea Party!

Residents, families, and the amazing FACET Young Adults with Disabilities group came together for a morning filled with friendship, music, and delicious treats. The FACET participants joined our hospitality team for a hands-on training session before proudly serving guests — their enthusiasm lit up the room!

Guests enjoyed freshly baked pastries, vintage teacups, and live music from King and Rackham, including a stunning performance of Nessun Dorma that touched everyone’s hearts. 💕

It was a truly special celebration of inclusion, creativity, and connection, reminding us that when generations come together, magic happens. ✨

“Silver Success for Goodwins Hall at Anglia in Bloom 2025!🌻

We're thrilled to announce that Goodwins Hall has proudly won Silver at this year's Anglia in Bloom Awards 2025!🥈

A special thank you to Paul Robson, from King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, who presented us with our award today. Paul said: "It was very close (getting the gold) but if the criteria are met next year for the Gold Award, Goodwins could win it back."

We couldn't be prouder of our team and residents who work so hard to make our gardens bloom beautifully. 🤩

With this momentum, we're already looking ahead - and aiming to bring Gold back home in 2026!
