Please be aware of the changes to parking for attendees to the Manor Mission Church.

There are now only 15 car parking spaces and you MUST enter your registration into the system inside the church.

Additional parking is available in Danacre, across the road near the new Lidl.

Dont park in the new Lidl car park as there is a 90 minute limit.

Come along to celebrate the 100th birthday of Manor Mission church, Laindon High Road on Saturday 4th April 2026.

We have a display stall and members of our group are on hand to discuss all things 'diabetic', lots of information leaflets available to take away for free too.

Our next meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday 3rd March at 10am in the Manor Mission Church.

This month we have Wendy Dobbin joining us who is Head of Learning and Engagement with Diabetes UK.

You may remember us talking about the Manor Mission's 100th Anniversary event on Saturday 4th April. Our Event Planner aka Lorraine has asked if anyone is free that day and would like to volunteer and hour or so of your time to help with a Diabetes stall that we will be organising you are very welcome to come along. More information will be offered at the coffee morning.

We understand that the new Lidl store is scheduled to open on Thursday 26th February. We are still unsure how the shop closure will affect the parking spaces available to us for the meetings. Please be aware that may be changes to where we can park, and the number of spaces available.

Our first meeting for 2026 will be Tuesday 3rd Feb, 10am at Manor Mission Church.

For those that attended in December you may remember Mike mentioning the issue with parking at Manor Mission that we currently enjoy courtesy of Lidl but is planned to disappear over the coming months. These changes to parking are as a result of the opening of the new Lidl store within Laindon town centre and the proposed redevelopment of the existing store site.

It would therefore seem prudent to use our first coffee morning to discuss these proposals. As well as having a cuppa and a catch up as it has been a while since we last got together.
