Good news, Lairg Pharmacy is now part of the NHS Highland travel clinics.

This means we can provide travel vaccines for FREE for a customer registered with a Scottish GP.

What to expect;

□ You will be asked some questions by the pharmacy staff about your travel arrangements and your previous vaccine history (take your vaccine card/history to help us assess what is required)

□ If required you will be provided with;
▪︎ Hepatitis A
▪︎ Typhoid
▪︎ Diptheria, Polio and Tetanus (combined)
▪︎ Cholera

If you require another vaccine for your travels that is not available through NHS, we can also provide most travel vaccines privately.

Are you in control of your hearts health and cholesterol?

PocDoc Healthy Heart Check only £19.95

This is a great home self test kit that tests your lipid/cholesterol levels. Once you download the app on your phone it will take you through how to perform the test and ask you a few questions relating to your health. Once the test is complete it will provide you with your lipid levels and what this means in the future to your hearts health.

It is very easy to use, self-explanatory and gives you good information about the results.

Before you buy the test we can do a free blood pressure check and give you an up to date weight and height measurement for accurate answers to the questions.

The pharmacy is looking for a school/college person aged 16 or over to cover hours during the school holidays, Saturdays or after school. We are hoping to get cover for 2 days a week (15 hours) and a possibility of over time hours over the summer holidays. We are looking preferably for someone that has an interest in pharmacy. We have an update to our ear health and hearing checks within the pharmacy. Once we have performed a hearing check and if required we are now able to refer you remotely to Tympa Health experts who will assess your case and if required refer you for a free assessment with an audiologist. This is an excellent service that may help get to the bottom of your hearing difficulties!
