Being at home for 12 weeks with no work to go to is worrying for many.
Here’s some good advice

Many of us are going to have to live a different kind of life over the coming days and weeks. These are 5 things to focus on if you are staying at home:
1. Routine is king. It will help provide structure and reduce the likelihood that you will still be in your pyjamas at 10.30am still in front of the news.
2. Watch the news at set times. Of course, it is important to be informed but try not to get into the habit of constant news checking for the latest update. Once or twice per day is sufficient and will help you feel calmer and less stressed.
3. Journalling. As I wrote about in Feel Better in 5, journaling is an incredible powerful but under-utilised tool in helping us manage our anxieties. Simply writing down how we are feeling helps, both literally and metaphorically, to take the worries out of our head and helps you to feel calmer.
4. Move every day. This is so, so important. It is essential for your physical AND your mental health. Do YouTube workouts or if you are lucky enough to have a garden, why not try moving outside. You can use bodyweight, dumbbells, skipping ropes or kettlebells.
5. Make sure you stay connected. Yes, we can't see our loved ones in person but we can absolutely use technology every single day to connect with others. It will be great for the other person, but also great for ourselves.
