A huge good luck to my sister who’s running the Pembrokeshire coast ultra marathon tomorrow 🏃🏻‍♀️

She’ll be covering 50 miles of costal path from Porthgain, all the way to Dale and gaining a total of 2850m of elevation 😳 starting at 7:30am and running through the day, she’s expected to finish at some point in the evening

Thank you everyone for being the absolute best patients over the last few weeks. I’m feeling very blessed to have so many kind words and support 🥰

My op went well, and I’m at home recovering. I’m already bored out of my mind and I’ve been banned from playing Mario cart with the boys because I get too competitive 🤣

Once I’ve started talking about my issues I’ve been blown away by how many women have struggled for years and not been taken seriously. My consultant has been amazing, and after years of pain I now have answers and a plan in place going forward. If anyone else is lucky enough to be able to choose their consultant, Miss Miskin at the Nuffield hospital in Cardiff has held my hand and put up with my crazy through the whole thing and I can’t recommend her enough.

Thank you again for all the support, and I promise to not go riding until at least next weekend 😉

From Easter weekend I’ll be taking a couple of weeks off as I’m having surgery for endometriosis/adenomyosis. In the interest of continuity I’ve closed my diary to new patients until I get back, as I won’t be able to follow up with anyone. My diary will reopen from about the 1st of May depending on how things go.

Until then, the very lovely and extremely capable Gitte will be seeing all new patients. The diary is filling up fast, so give us a call or book online if you need anything

I’m going to be bored out of my mind if I can’t work or ride for 2 weeks, so I’m already planning some epic crochet projects 😉

Ever wondered what happens during a chiropractic treatment? Here’s a time lapse from a while ago when I popped into clinic to treat my eldest son (excuse the scruffy clothes and the dog checking on him!)

Both Gitte and myself are registered with the general chiropractic council - to do this we have to meet the criteria and adhere to a strict code of practice. If you need treatment, it is always worth asking your midwife or GP for a local NHS physiotherapy referral first (as it is free and often nearer to your home). It also raises the profile of the condition and encourages local service provision. It can help to take the national guidelines for PGP and....

Thanks to everyone that’s been super supportive this week while Xena has been poorly. Turns out she had pancreatitis and despite everyone’s awesome suggestions on how to get her to eat/drink, she still ended up spending the day at the vets on a drip to replace the fluids she’d lost.

She’s back to her overdramatic self now, and I’m very glad for pet insurance!!

Today is is Autism Awareness Day, which is part of a wider Autism Acceptance Month.

As a mum of a child with autism and ADHD, I know how challenging it can be to navigate a world which is set up for neurotypical people.

Here at Cariad Chiropractic we try to be as Autism friendly as possible. So if you’re struggling with sensory overwhelm, let me know and we can book your appointment at a quieter time when I can turn down the music and the lighting and take the time to explain everything I’m going to do in enough details to make you comfortable. We also have Xena training as a therapy dog, so if snuggles while you’re treated will help, we can look at making that happen.

I’ve got a favour to ask 😇🙏🏼

I’m currently working through a grant application for a hydrolic bench that moves up and down and would make my clinic more accessible to patients with mobility issues. They’ve asked me to provide letters of support from patients that would benefit from it.
