đź’” The joy they brought into my life was immeasurable, but saying goodbye was one of the hardest moments I've faced.

When Milo, the tiny orange kitten, arrived at the shelter, he didn’t cry. He didn’t play.
He simply curled up in the far corner of his crate, trembling like a leaf that had lost its tree.

But then came Toby—a tabby with a history just as rough, yet a heart wide open. He had once been the scared one too… until someone showed him that love wasn’t something to run from.

When they placed Milo into Toby’s foster room, no one expected what happened next.

Toby walked right over, gave the tiniest nudge, and then—without hesitation—wrapped himself around the kitten like a blanket made of trust. That night, Milo slept for the first time in days… and he never trembled again.

From that moment forward, Toby made a silent promise: "As long as I’m here, you’re safe. You’re loved. You’ll never feel alone again."

And he’s kept it—every nap, every meow, every heartbeat.

This isn’t just a photo of two cats sleeping.

It’s a story of healing.
Of unexpected friendship.
Of how even the tiniest creatures can be each other’s biggest source of strength..

Walk with me; don’t just walk me. Slow down and see the world as I do. I know you’ve got things to do, places to be. But out here, with the ground beneath our feet and the sky above us, there’s a whole world worth noticing.
The autumn chill is in the air today, crisp and full of new smells. It’s different from yesterday, and different from the day before. Every day is new. The leaves crunch under my paws, and I stop to breathe in the rich, earthy scent of them. To you, it might just be a pile of leaves, but to me, it’s a story—one I can’t help but dive into, nose first.
There’s a squirrel somewhere nearby, I can sense it, darting up a tree, its tiny heart beating fast. And the wind carries whispers of things far away: a family cooking dinner, the trace of a cat that passed by early this morning, and the faint perfume of flowers holding on to their last bit of summer. It’s all here, swirling around us if you just take the time to notice.
You tug on the leash, eager to move on, and I can tell you’re thinking about something far away from here. But when we walk, truly walk, you and I can be in this moment together. Feel the cool air brush against your skin, let it wake you up. Notice how the sun filters through the branches, casting shadows that dance on the pavement. Hear the crunch of the leaves beneath our steps, like a secret rhythm just for us.
To you, it might be just another walk, a daily routine to tick off the list. But for me, every step is an adventure. Each scent is a clue, each sound a piece of a puzzle. When you walk with me, really walk with me, you’ll see it too. The world is bigger than what we’re rushing toward. It’s right here, in the small moments, in the quiet spaces between your thoughts.
So, slow down. Breathe. Let the chill fill your lungs and the colours fill your eyes. Walk with me, don’t just walk me. See the world as I do, if only for a little while. It’s all waiting for you, just beneath the surface.

"It turns out that pets also have their own "last wishes" before they pass away, something only veterinarians who euthanize old or sick animals are aware of. A Twitter user, Jesse Dietrich, once asked a vet what the most challenging part of their job was. The vet responded without hesitation, explaining that the hardest part is witnessing how old or sick animals search for their owners before they fall asleep forever. Shockingly, 90% of owners choose not to stay in the room during their pet's final moments. They leave, unable to bear watching their beloved companion go. However, what they don’t realize is that these final moments are when their pet needs them the most.

Vets are urging pet owners to stay by their animals' sides until the very end. "It’s inevitable that they will pass before you. Remember, you were the center of their world. They may have been just a part of your life, but to them, you were everything—their family. Even though it’s heartbreaking, don’t abandon them in their final moments. Don’t let them die alone in an unfamiliar room with a stranger. It’s incredibly painful for vets to see pets frantically searching for their owners in their last minutes of life. They don’t understand why they’ve been left behind, and all they need is the comfort of their beloved human.

While veterinarians do everything they can to ease the fear and anxiety of these animals, they are still strangers to them. Don’t let your own pain make you walk away. Be brave for them. Endure that heartache, and stay by their side until the very end. They deserve your love and presence in their final moments. "💞🙏

Dog Poisoned by the Diffuser
Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terror. Sunday, he was still acting weird. I realized that I had been running my new diffuser and decided to turn it off. Sunday afternoon, he was feeling better.
Today at work, my dog sitter said that he wouldn't come out from under the bed. It was very odd as he is a happy dog.
I came from work early and again, he was very confused about who I was.
So I took him to emergency vet.
It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs. Thankfully the test showed that his liver was ok but we weren't out of the woods yet. He was given fluids under his skin to get the toxins out.
The vet and the poison control are saying that they see these cases often now that the popularity of essential oil is growing.
Please make sure that the essential oils you are burning are not toxic for your pets.
Here is a list of essential oils not to use if you have a dog at home
