🌍 First Aid Support Across the Globe! 🇳🇿

We often talk about local care… but every now and then, something a little special happens. This week, a lovely lady from New Zealand reached out to us via Facebook, asking for advice on what her father should carry in a personal first aid kit.

We didn’t just give her advice — we did a bit of digging and even found a New Zealand-based supplier for her, completely free of charge.

Why? Because helping people is what we do — whether you’re in Blackpool or the Bay of Plenty. 💙

She left us a huge Kiwi “Thank you!”, and honestly… that made our day.

🦟 Insect Bites & Stings – What You Need to Know 🦟

There’s been a noticeable rise in insect bites and stings at recent events. Most are mild, but some can lead to infection or even allergic reactions if not treated properly.

👉 NHS Treatment Advice:
• Clean the area with soap and water
• Apply a cold compress for 10 mins to reduce swelling
• Take paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain
• Use an antihistamine cream or tablet to reduce itching
• Don’t scratch! – it can lead to infection
• See a pharmacist if swelling or discomfort persists
• Call 999 if there’s difficulty breathing, facial swelling, or a rapid spread of symptoms
